I used Microleaves years ago when you could buy 5 proxy ports, and did not have to make the hefty investment of 25 ports minimum. I liked their services back then, they accomplished what I needed and the cost was in my budget.

Lately I have tried BlazingSEOLLC, StormProxies, and RotatingProxies, and I got good enough results, however it seemed that youtube and google would often fail.

So I bought the Microleaves 25 port plan with their standard features for $125. I had the same problem Youtube and Google would not resolve properly with the bots that I use.

So I got a refund (they were quick about it too), and then I upgraded to the "Special Backconnect Proxies" that are twice the cost for 25. I paid $250 (just a few days ago).

I am still seeing a ton of problems with Google and Youtube. But on top of that 18 out of 25 ports fail consistently (and not always the same ports, it rotates), and the ping times are atrocious. I am getting between 995ms to 8900ms (see my screenshot).

I currently paying 10x as much, and getting far less quality.

For reference, I did adjust the settings to allow youtube, geotargeting, google etc at Microleaves, and my datacenter dedicated server has speeds of 200mbps down and 50mbps up, with little give or take, it's pretty consistent.

My other proxies far out perform Microleaves, and are MUCH cheaper.

Microleaves offers no discount, and there is practically no support on Weekends. I waited for 3 days for them to respond after I wrote them Friday. They have a 3 day refund policy, but if you have to wait 3 days for support to respond, then you lose out on that potential refund I suppose.

See my screen shot of my proxy test via scrapebox.

DM me if you need a good proxy provider, as it seems as if you're not having good luck.

I require Youtube & Google Compatible Backconnect Proxies. Dedicated or Standard Shared Proxies will not work for me. I will DM you. I invite anyone with any good leads to DM me also. Thanks

I have been using two and they are suiting my needs well. Currently I have 20 Backconnect Rotating Proxies from BlazingProxiesLLC, and 40 From COSMO:pROXY.

First I want to say I was incorrect about evaluating some of the problems that I was having with Microleaves. However they are extremely expensive and so far I do not see any net benefit in paying their excessive prices.
Also geo-targeting didn't work very well. I chose non-asian countries, and I was still getting proxies from China with Microleaves.

I chose the Special Microleave proxies because their basic proxies (starting at $125 for 25 ports) did not work well with Google and hardly worked at all with Youtube. So I upgraded to the $249 for 25 proxies, for youtube.
That did work a little, but it certainly had it's problems. I would say I had between 20-30% authorization problem where I would just get dead proxies. So 20-30% loss or however it would be best defined.
Geo-targeting was an issue.
And support did not seem to be available on the weekend.

However on Monday, without any more questions, or assistance, they just refunded my money. I was a little surprised, because I just wanted some questions answered. But it turned out to be really good.

COSMO-PROXY has no geo-location features, however i am getting a high percentage of USA and European proxies. Same with BlazingProxiesLLC. I am getting far less loss with both of these providers. And they scrape both youtube and google without problems so far.

I will update this thread at the end of the month and give a detailed review.

Thanks again

Can confirm, microleaves experience sucked. They told me I had to update to "special" proxies because the domain I was using to IP check (my own domain name) had the word "mail" in it. Can also confirm they didn't work for nearly anything I wanted to use them for, and regularly failed.

Storm and Proxyrack are consistently good for me, with the occasional bit of downtime. Storm does have an issue where you can't use CONNECT to get to port 80, but is otherwise fine.

Curious, and I am not complaining. But why was the thread moved? I will make a note of it and post appropriately next time. Thanks!

How much port did you test in COSMO? I am doing test for almost 2 weeks ++ and I didn't get any decent amount of USA in a single day. Most of their proxies are from RUSSIA and some part of SEA region (Thailand or Vietnam if I am not mistaken)

I have 40 from COSMIC-PROXY, about to upgrade to 100 ports just for a bit more diversity, but I am still testing this month. I haven't made much of a commitment beyond one month.
Next month even if I choose to stay with my current two providers, I am also going to try one more service out. I haven't choosen which one.
It's between, https://smartproxy.io/, and https://luminati.io

As for my percentage of USA vs Europe/Russia/Asia. Give me until the end of the month, and I will get you a large enough sample to properly evaluate.

BTW- My rate of USA is reasonably high, in other words, I am getting more ROI than with Microleaves. Their cost was high, but their ratio of USA was not extremely high. It was higher than what I currently have but not by enough to justify charging me over twice as much.

I have a total of 60 ports from two different providers. Which means in theory (not in practice) I can run 6000 threads at a time. But My rule is 25% of that, so even though my threshold is 6000 allowable threads, in production I run no more than 1500 with 60 ports. With 100 ports I would run 2500 threads, and I may upgrade to 100 ports in the near future. I need to upgrade my server(s) before I get to 2500 concurrent threads

Stress tested the hell out of a new launch that I am about to release. 1500 concurrent threads stresses a web host out pretty good I found. 2500 should be interesting..

My experience of Microleaves is similar to yours.

I had major issues sometimes with the speed of some proxies towards the end of last year, which made them completely unusable a lot of the time. The service definitely deteriorated substantially from when I first started using them.

Microleave's support was next to useless. There were delays in responding and when they did respond, it was always someone else's fault. At the end of last year, there were major outages, apparently due to DDoS attacks, which left the service unusable for days. If you asked for a pro-rata refund, you either received a response that they don't provide refunds or worse, they just cancel your service.

I used Luminati's service next and I have nothing but praise for them. It is an expensive service, especially if you consume a lot of data, but if you need periodic usage, it will actually work out cheaper than Microleaves as Luminati only bill you for the days you use their service.

In terms of support, Luminati provide excellent service. I had two contacts on Skype who were constantly available to resolve some of the minor issues I had.

I also briefly tried RotatingProxies and I would never use them again. I was trying to use their backconnect proxies in the US and the speeds were dire. Every time I raised an issue with support, I got a standard response that proxies are slower than normal connections etc. etc. Most of the time their proxies were so bad, I constantly got timeouts etc.
