My partner wants me to drive traffic to his site, how to track results?

The plan is next: I will buy a domain name redirected to his site. I will promote that domain name in different places.
I will get paid by visitors. How to track this?

I think I should redirect the domain name to the tracking link -> redirected to the destination site.
Of course, we should both have access to the results. I checked bitly but can't see any option to share results.
I used google's tracking link earlier, but it doesn't exist anymore. Tell me some alternative? Free and paid. Thanks.

You can install open source tracking script like openwebanalytics on your server
 
I’d recommend Matomo if you’re looking to track traffic.

Google Analytics works too. Stat counter as well.

If you are the one driving the traffic, why aren't you milking it yourself as well? unless your partner has a very valuable offer I would advise you to just do your own thing. Make sure the deal is worth it otherwise

Okay. I have watched many instruction videos and I know how to create tracking URL link. But none of them didn't tell how to add that into google analytics. Can somebody help?

Example.
I have created a link with Google Campaign URL Builder
Let's say, I want to promote BHW, so the link looks like this: https://www.blackhatworld.com/?utm_...eddit&utm_campaign=how+to+track+link+clickers

I understood that I have to forward my domain to this link (and the tracking URL is pointed to the destination URL). But how can I add that tracking URL to Google Analytics to see how many clicks it gets????
 
Statcounter is the best tool for this. Lot of tracking tools available there.

You are such a nice person

You are going through trouble to make a few pennies from "visitors"

What you really want is a commission from sales

Have them set up an affiliate program from what they are selling

Promote the affiliate link and get a commission from sales

If they won't do that then find your own niche, create your own authority site and make your own fortune

Then you will have something left after you part ways with your partner
