Hi everyone, well a lot of you already know me by now, but I never actually made an introduction when I joined bhw. So, I guess it's appropriate to make a post here today since it was one year ago that I joined.

I've been using computers since the mid 1980s when going online meant calling up a local BBS. I was one of the first people in my city to get internet access when it became available to the general public in the 1990s. I've never made a killing with IM, but always able to make a few bucks here and there. I've learned a lot over the years, but I'm always looking to learn more, which is how I came across BHW.

I spent the first 6 months mostly just lurking on here. Reading a lot of threads about making money, purchasing a few services from the bst threads, and just generally taking advantage of all the great information on the forums. Over the last 6 months I started participating a lot more. Offering some helpful suggestions when people are looking for help, and contributing what little bit of knowledge I thought might benefit the forums.

I'd like to thank everyone for making me feel welcome here, and for all the help I've recieved.

    Thanks,
    Wolf

Yeah my first PC only had two 360k floppy drives but no HD. I was so thrilled when I could finally afford to upgrade it and get a 30meg HD. Like you say it was like heaven to just run a program without swapping out disks in the floppy drives.

30 meg seemed huge at the time. We have files bigger than that now. LOL.

Well I was already an adult when I got my first PC, so I was able to be a little more serious about it. LOL.

The closest thing to a PC or even a videogame that was available for my dad to get me when I was in highschool was the original PONG video game. There wasn't even any console games that took cartridges or cassettes at that time. PONG was the state of the art for home gaming systems. LOL

I remember when we got Pong... I was about 12 years old and couldn't believe how cool it was. My first PC - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Instruments_TI-99/4A - and I remember the BBS activity and used to have to pay a quarter to dial into a city that had Prodigy.

Lots of water under the bridge since then.

Keep offering your sage advice, Wolf, we all know that you make this a better place when you share.
