I had my 10yr high school reunion last night, and while I was there I ran into a buddy of mine who had progressed his career up in google. We bullshitted for a bit and after a few rounds that I bought for him, on the hopes that he would spill the beans, he actually started to open up about what is working for ranking sites. I was stoked! He was talking fast so I only had a chance to write down some paraphrasing but I looked back on it today and I wanted to share my notes.

    1) USE OLD CONTENT FROM THE LIBRARY!
Google has indexed everything in the entire interwebs. BUT NOT YOUR CITY LIBRARY! Think about it, nobody goes to the fucking library, not even google. Pick up some old books from the early seventies, some real abstract shit. Use a document reader to turn it into a pdf. Then spin it. This shit is so drug laden that the more you spin it, the better it gets. Just use everybody's faves and it's already 160% unique. Add links.

    2) AT LEAST 7 TIERS FOR EACH LINK!
It's all about CONFUSING GOOGLE. If your link has links and those links have links, well then google has to think for sure you're legit.
    Now SCALE IT UP! :
Simple, just run 4 VPS's loaded with senuke (the original, not X or Xcr [crucial!]), to tier up your tiers. Then run Xrumer to each tier, and then tier those tiers, and so on. Don't forget to bookmark each one. Oh, and also

3)BOOKMARK YOUR BOOKMARKS AND THEN BOOKMARK THOSE BOOKMARKS!
Then group and RSS each of them, and ping them, and tweet and retweet (the pings), then bookmark the tweets/retweets, and then bookmark those bookmarks.

    4) (I spilled beer on the napkin I was writing this on, so, I'm not really sure what #4 was. Something about super-interlinking squidoo, tumblr, pinterest... I tried putting it into a toaster oven to dry out when I got home, but it just got worse...)

    5) PROXY YOUR PROXIES!
He explained to me that it's critical not to leave footprints, so the best way is to go is:
LMI>RDC>HMA>VPS (logmein>remote desktop connection>hidemyass>whatever VPS means, I don't know), in that exact order. This will make sure that your accounts won't get banned and you can still access your gmail.

I really wish I could remember some things better, I got really buzzed. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Hope it helps you guys get your sites ranked!

Does he actually work in the Search department of Google? Because it's those guys who really know everything, not the guys who work on Google Books, but think they know all about the inner workings of the search engine actually operate.

Google is EXTREMELY strict on letting people work on the search algorithms because it's obviously the most valuable part of their company. I doubt that someone who works on the algorithms would freely give out information on how the algorithms actually work.

But that's just my 2 cents and for all I know it could be legit :)

Hmmm love the library thing. Shit one hardcopy text book from the 70's that's not online = like 250 unique 1,000 word articles.
But would have to find one that's not copyrighted, surely there's some books from the 50's-60's that have lost their copyright.

    So for the tiers?

    You are saying this.

    Web 2.0 > Web 2.0 > Web 2.0 > Web 2.0 > Web 2.0 > Web 2.0 > Web 2.0

Whew that's pretty long, lol. Plus with all the wikis, comments, etc going to get expensive/time consuming.

Classy reunion, there, were the paper towel dispensers on the tables or did you have to get them from the cafeteria?

That method is so old... I am sure they have caught on to a lot of that. If you are trying to "confuse Google" like you said, and build a massive linking structure then you should invest some time in creating 100% unique quality content.
