Hi there,
I am SEO veteran from Israel, giving big brands the "Organic Shine" (my day job since 2009 with nice salary), but generating passive income was always my dream (Reach/Poor Dad model).
After struggling to make any sense with Adsense by dozens of sites I have created and tons of money invested, I have decided to step into Affiliates, mainly with ClickBank.
My CB account was created on 2011, had some attempts in the past to make something, but with no success... I left the CB idea behind in the same year (2011).
1 month ago, I have decided to give it another chance.. Since basically I have no problem to drive traffic to almost any website (SEO, PPC), my main issues was how to choose the right products and how to convert this traffic into sales, because most of the time I have an experience with lead generation, but no direct sales...
I mean, if I can drive traffic but no sales - I am pretty dump, right? So I dove into the Affiliates marketing posts on BHW, in order to figure out how to do it right...
Thanks for your efforts & help BHW members! (special thanks to Mancar487, Mikeisright and many others for their time answering questions and posting valuable info).
Made a few first sales already! It's SO exciting!
My current insights about affiliate marketing are:
1. Promote products that you want to buy by yourself
2. Imagine that you are the buyer. Step into the sales/promotion funnel and see how it works for you (think IKEA).
3. Understand the audience/their current needs. Look for those "in the buying mode"
4. There is no big difference between marketing methods in real life and the web, its just the platform and customer's mode & mood
5. Test everything, all the time, don't give up. The 1-st sale will come - than scale it up
6. 1-6 do it again
I am still learning & digging my way
And don't afraid to ask others, fail or being upset. Don't give up, just make the sale instead!
Cheers
