    Hey there fellow blackhatters,

So I wanted to share my method that I wanted to try coming up. You see, in California there are InShape health clubs all over from North to South. They are the most popular gyms with so many of them all over. Well....

There is a new one opening up in my town down the street from where I live. It is going to be one of the super-mega-deluxe ones that are far better than the little ones my town has. In short, EVERYONE is going to be going there. So I had this idea for some time now and was going to give it a shot.

I have an offer from my CPA company about a free trial of a muscle supplement. It gives $40 per every free trial sign up. Here's the thing, what better place to advertise it than a gym, and a popular one at that!

So I'm going to hire this kid down the street to go to the gym on opening weekend at all hours of the day to catch the most people. (9am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm, 7pm, and 9pm) I think these are the best times to get the most, as workouts can average like 2 hours. So I'm going to make like 1k flyers that say:

"Did you get the most out of your workout?"
As a gift to all of our new members, we would like you to get the most out of your workout and claim your free trial of (insert CPA offer here)
    (picture of CPA product)
Don't lose out on maxing out your gym experience!
Go to (my site with redirect to cpa offer) and claim your free trial!
Only limited to the first 100 members!

So he would put this on all the cars in the parking lot for the whole 3 days, Fri, Sat, and Sun to get the most visitors. (which should be tons)
I told him that if anyone ask him anything, to just run away. lol
(he's to young for them to do anything)

So I'm hoping for the whole weekend I get like at least 10 sign ups for $400. Is that a decent number? Mind you that this place is HUGE and going to be PACKED all weekend and after.

I would be happy to get some advice or read your thoughts. Thanks all.:D

Good idea, I've read about guys doing this sort of thing at malls and they were very successful.

It's a solid idea and similar to the Wal-Mart giftcard method. The main stumbling block tends to be security and pissed off managers coming after you because of the soliciting and parking lot being littered with your adverts. Cover your tracks as far as your domain having whois guard, and run it by your network if you feel they'de allow it to cover complaints and the fact that you'll be paid out for the effort. The only weak link as far as banking well off it without getting cited is the kid/person you have pushing the flyers.

Good luck and looking forward to how it goes.

The idea is indeed good. The question is How long is gonna last?
You need to consider the sooner or later, one of the members will go to the front desk and thank the gym for the "free trial" offer
And/or ask questions related to the offer. You are writing "...as gift to our new members.." which implies the "gift" is being given by the gym in question.

After while I believe that one location at a time (unless the admin calls the other gyms) they will notify the members that such offer
Is not being offered by them and please not to accept it. What you can do is maybe offer the trial without necessarily mention the "gym name."

I think this way you can extend the time where you can keep this marketing method working. OR even in some cases, talk to some people
at the front desk (admin) and say you are a "representative" of so and so..(product) and wanted to present this "win/win" situation where
that you advertise your company while the gym show interest in their members physical improvement/performance.

It worth a try. The concept you have is a good one, just spin it!

    Good Luck. :)

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, I just wanted to make some quick money and monetize the opening weekend for as much as I can. I really don't want to continue offline, so if they get all hissy, oh well, wasn't me! :D I may consider something similar offline for my college campus though. I just wanted to bank as much as I can off the first days, I know it will die out after that. But if I make some really good money, I may continue until it dies down. Thanks for the info though.

I think the manager may move you on pretty quickly. But it is worth a try.

Maybe you can work out a deal with the gym/manager. They allow you to hand out in parking lot and post a few flyers/posters inside, and give them half the cut. This will increase conversion and decrease headaches.

If it works out, then you can make it a quarterly event, or something like that.

    Just a thought.
