    Hello BHW users,

My mother has a hand made crafts shop for about 3 years now, surfing this web i thought maybe i should ask you guys, what do you think. We h.ave all sorts of crafts, paintings, framing artwork services, boxes and etc. that's cute and really nice. People are very happy seeing the items and paying for them large sums(Atleast in my country it's called large, I live in Lithuania btw). We only sell to local people who lives around my city (It's not a big city, somewhere around 30k inhabitants). I could p.ost some photos here of the crafts, it's really nice, my mother makes all the crafts with her hands, and my father frames all the pictures.

So what i was thinking maybe it would be some way to increase my family profits? Maybe creating a website and sel.ling stuff online global-wide, selling stuff on Amazon or Ebay? What do you think guys?

Indeed. You should just try amazon and ebay first and see how it goes. If you sell well you could try to build a webshop later. Good luck to you and your moms!

    Try ebay.

It's super easy and if its going to sell anywhere it will sell on there. At my last job I used ebay sales as a way to gauge interest in new product lines before we added them onto our store.

With crafts though its very visual, pinterest or instagram may be good options. Maybe mommy bloggers may be another option.

Also when listing your products on the internet you should make sure that you have high quality pictures and a detailed description about the product. This will increase sales.

I suggest creating a fb page and try posting it on your wall and see how it goes..

That would be a good start..

Look into the ebay global shipping program if you have it in your country. I used to ship all over the world, I post them to a warehouse ebay own with a reference number and they post it around the globe for me.

Initially try to sell on ebay and amazon as you don't need to spend anything other than time, also create a fb page and pinterest account and load product images with store link then invite your friends to get quick attention to your ebay/amazon store. You can start your own eCommerce website when everything goes well.

You can get yourself a domain name and have a wordpress site with a woocommerce store and sell your items like that. The cost to set up is a domain name and hosting, wordpress and woocommerce is free

So does my mum. Ceramic arts, actually. She has a lot of success with Facebook. We drive traffic to her Facebook page via a showcase website simply because art evokes emotion so is very shareable and people just ask to buy. Not sure if this fits for you but thought it with mentioning.
