Can you have a Youtube account without having a google account?

I want to make a quick screenshot tutorial on some Tumblr tricks and tips people have been PM'ing me about and share it with you guys here on BHW, but I don't want it on my regular YouTube channel.

Should I just use Vimeo or something?

you cant have yt account without google account . Now you need create google account and link it with youtube

yes, if your account is super old before they started requiring a google account to create a youtube account. But then on login they will ask you to create a google account.Other than that not really, you need a google account .

Yeah unfortunately you need a google account. Someone said in a post here yesterday you now need a Google Plus account aswell. Thats taking it a bit too far. Calm down, Google.
