My name is Jeff Arnold. I am 22 years old (23 this Wednesday) and I am a recent college of business graduate with a bachelors degree in Marketing. Along with my extensive knowledge and experience in content promotion, brand advertising and social media marketing, option, I am a self taught Wordpress web designer.

I started my background in website development as a means to make some extra cash during college, as well as work a part time job as a student patrol officer FTO for my local college police department. With college courses, my part time job and time spent as a freelance web designer and entrepreneur, my typical week consisted of well over 60 hours of endless work throughout my college career.

Because of this, I made few friends in college. I spent most of my free time working out or in bed watching Netflix on my iPhone. It was incredibly lonely, not to mention I was a part of an abusive relationship, which made things all the worse. My girlfriend at the time was clingy, self-obsessed and to make matters even worse, suicidal. I was the only reason she was alive and I hated every minute of our relationship knowing there would never be a way out.

My life became meaningless. I worked harder than anyone I ever met and got the least bit out of it. I stood by and watched others squander away their college careers and graduate with disgusting high-paying jobs simply because they knew the right people. It made me sick to the point I myself started to play with the thought of taking my own life.

A little about me. I was born in Florida and raised in New Jersey. I grew up in a wealthy family where I got anything I ever wanted and I had all the friends in the world. Flash forward a few years to my freshman year in high school. My parents started to become progressively more violent over the last decade. They divorced a few months later in 2010. My family split apart, all six of us.

Flash forward to today, I graduated with honors and moved in with my dad in Fort Lauderdale. I endlessly searched for a full time job while I worked part time as a personal assistant for a millionaire interior designer. I got out of my last relationship (details unavailable) and found the most amazing girl a guy could ever ask for. When I told my father I was having no luck in Lauderdale and wanted to go move in with her two hours away, he blew up and tried to attack me. I ran out and we haven't spoken since.

Since then I have been cutoff. He paid for everything of mine, including my phone, car, insurance, school, rent, the lot of it. I was never a snotty rich kid. Anyone would tell you I'm actually the exact opposite. I care about everyone and everything. It kills me watching people in suffer and I believe being happy outweighs being wealthy. My dad didn't agree with me.

I suddenly started drowning in bills I simply could not afford. In the past seven months I have applied to over 300 jobs, received 30 replies and took on three positions. Until the other day I worked all three all day every day. I get paid a total of about 300 a week, not even scratching the surface of what I owe.

I'm falling apart guys. My girlfriend and I got into the biggest fight we ever had Thanksgiving eve, and we very rarely argue. Having no money was having a negative affect on our relationship. It resulted in us breaking up, me packing all my stuff up, driving 10 and a half hours and sleeping in my car. I quit all my jobs and drove to see my mom, who was as poor as I was living in the mountains of North Carolina, for Thanksgiving. The plan was to enjoy the holiday, say goodbye to her and my brother and then drive to New Jersey, the only place I was ever happy, to kill myself.

10 hours is a long time to think about your life. The one and only reason I have ever refused to take my own life is because of my younger brother and the effect it would have on his life. I would never put him through something like that. Over the years I've lost friends and loved ones to suicide, cheating and divorce. Somehow I still remain strong and find reasons to move on and believe that something better is waiting for me around the corner. I convince myself that my time will come.

That is why I am here today. I am putting myself out there in the best way I know possible. I have shared my story with you and if you have made it this far down my post, I personally want to thank you for your continued interest.

Thank you all for reading. I am more grateful than you can imagine.

    Respectfully,

    Jeff Arnold

Sorry man you’re mistaken there I am selling no services. I am simply searching for employers or knowledge on websites I can make money on. If not blackhatworld I literally don’t know what else to do that I have not done already. The members here are smarter than most on the internet.

That’s an insult. If you read the whole story you should know better. I would have started with a sales pitch and explained afterwards. People have to read 90% of the post to figure out I’m asking for help. But you’re the boss

Not really how I would describe it but I appreciate your appreciation man

Just go on Upwork or Fiverr man. I've seen people with absolutely no skill making decent money there making shitty t-shirt designs, video ad creatives etc.. so if you can beat them with skill, you'll hopefully get some clients..

You never know with Upwork though. I bid on a gig for a marketing role once & a random dude from china messaged me to make UK PayPal accounts for him for £100 a pop. We've been working together for 4 years..

Also Shopify is pretty big now. Join eCommerce groups on Facebook, private message members who post questions looking for help with marketing or some shit and offer them help. And make yourself seem like an actual mini marketing agency, so have a basic site built + page etc..

And skip on the life story part if you're pitching to them. I know times are hard, but 99% of people are also going through shit, and it may really have no effect on your chances of getting hired. Just do a good job and get going. Good luck!

Welcome to the forum, @Jeff Arnold.

I removed the last two paragraphs of your post as the introductions section is not a place to search for employers.

No offence mate, but I am not reading all of that.

For what I can gather from skimming it, and some of the comments - you're miserable, you have some web design skills, and you want to find work.

Get on sites like upwork and offer your services. You are unlikely to find people on BHW who are desperately looking for your skillset, because we have our own marketplace on here, and we use places like Upwork to hire freelancers. BHW is not your last resort. Get yourself listed on a bunch of freelancer sites, and then start marketing yourself.

I hope you find what you are looking for, and that you feel better soon. Chin up, lad. There is a big, bright world out there, and it is full of opportunity.

Don’t waste your time pursuing material things. The suffering is a creation of your own mind and I can assure it will never end unless you bravely face it. Look at you, you’re a slave! Do you want to die as a slave? Even a trillion dollars won’t make you happy and free. You life will end anyway, so use the time wisely and not like an ignorant fool. You’ve come here to reach perfection, do something about it. He who is strong endures the pain, for it is temporary!

Welcome to the forum man. I know it is like throwing cold water into your face, but now the best thing for you is probably find a real job to actually support yourself and try to cut down all your expenses.

IM is hard and take a lot of effort and testing to make it even works, you should find a job first then do IM part time. That is my humble advice.

Hey man thanks for the advice. Believe it or not I am already a Level 2 seller on Fiverr which over 250 orders with straight 5 star reviews. Made a couple thousand dollars before Fiverr stopped delivering traffic to my gigs. The whole thing tanked.

Thanks for your appreciation of my post man means a lot

I respect that. Rules are rules. Thanks for the heads up man

One of those fathers that the best is never good enough you know

Yeah man you're right. This is ive done the whole Fiverr thing and made thousands with it. Then shit happens and you gotta start all over or move on. I appreciate your response though
