July 20th Update:

July 20 all-in-one.JPGJuly 20 update.JPG

My average users for the day is around 500-600 (from all sources)
Google is about 60-70% of that (300-400 users)

So far my month has been going pretty good. Some of my page 1 ranks are starting to move higher up in the SERPS which is getting me more users/sales to my site.
At this point this month should be my best month so far. I still have 11 days left in the month and I already passed my best month.

I finished my review of the product I got sent and the supplier was pleased about it.
It's now up on my site and already ranking for the keywords for it albeit I need to optimize it further as I didn't get a chance to do that, but it is on page 2-3 of Google (it moves daily, just waiting for it stay in a range more reliable before I touch it.

I published 2 more articles (2nd Page Rank for a 6000 search volume keyword for a How-To article and I am getting one re-written as I had some pieces of content in it that I had used on a different post and it was affecting my rankings for those posts.

I will be using Surfer-SEO to optimize my content. I typically try to address any errors immediately and then I work on getting proper words/phrases above 50% relevancy fixed up if possible if they make sense. This tends to give me a nice boost after a bit.

I am also waiting for the packages I purchased to take effect as well on my pages. Both of them got completed around 10 days ago, I will wait another 2-3 weeks to see if rankings improve on the pages they were pointed too.
I will be leaving a review for them as well. (Reviews can be found in my profile)

Best wishes for your upcoming child as well as your journey. Stay blessed.

Thanks :)

maybe you could share what you did for your SEO?

I'll try to keep it simple

1. Keyword Search
2. Analyze top 10 pages for my chosen keyword (average words, headings, backlinks needed, user search intent, etc.)
3. Write the content or get a writer to write it for me
4. Wait for the article to rank
5. revisit article and fix on-page SEO / optimize it and wait 1-3 weeks to see if anything improves - repeat is necessary
6. Once the article is as high as I think it can go, I start getting some backlinks (Niche Edits, Guest Posts, etc.)
7. Wait for it to increase in ranking and then repeat 5 through 7 until it ranks higher. (When I get more articles up, it allows me to interlink them even more if they are relevant which will help too.)

Hope this helps?

This coming from a banned user who was trying to get people into a pyramid scheme that he didn't even know he was apart of... yes... I'm the immature one. o_O

10% conversion is very nice! What did you do to get such a great conversion rate?

What's the CTR from website to Amazon?

I don't track that, but I really should...

But I can try to give an estimate of how many users from my total traffic that ended up on Amazon this month.

This is estimated for easier math:

I'm averaging 18k-19k users in the last 30 days, and in the past 22 days, I've gotten ~2300 clicks from my website to go to amazon. I'd say in the 10-15% range? and then ~10% of those actually buy stuff.

Hope this answers your question correctly.

Thanks for the info! That are really awesom stats.. I'm getting around 15% CTR to Amazon/bol and about 1,5% conversion rate on the clicks...

Why do 10% of your visitors convert? Can you maybe explain some more about your content strategy? Do you follow any fancy guide you're willing to share?

I really like to learn more about increasing the conversion rate. I use the following structure in my content: Start with a hook, intro (Awareness stage), followed by a top 3 of the products within the subject: Best quality vs best price/quality vs lowest price. Followed by product information (Interest stage), then a pro's and con's list (Desire stage) and end with 2 CTA's to Amazon and bol (Action stage).

As you can see I basically use AIDA and hooks. Can you tell me more about your content strategy?

I think they convert better because its legitimately something they want to buy. Most of the things I try and get my audience to buy are usually entry-level things that are very decent/good.

I just think they like the touch I add to my posts. I've got experience with most of the products that I try to sell my audience from amazon so it's easy to give them pointers as well on how to make the product perform better for them (tips, etc.) so they feel more comfortable actually buying it.

I don't do anything special.

This is a basic template I use:

Intro
**ask the user about an general issue they might be having**
and provide a little guidance that the products I'm writing about can solve it

Comparison tables of the products (never more than 5) with good info for specs in comparisons

Then I split my topics: (I keep a 3:1 ratio for pros: cons - so 3 pros to 1 cons)

Best Overall
pros cons
talk about the product and how it helps
tips/tricks

Best Budget
pros cons
talk about the product and how it helps
tips/tricks

Best Under Budget
pros cons
talk about the product and how it helps
tips/tricks

etc.

**In each topic, I add tips to make the product better so it gives it more value**

FAQs
Like 3-5 questions that pop up on google for the products I talk about

Conclusion
**My take on which one they should get and mention the other ones in a positive light

Don't really have a strategy just kinda looked at what other pages had in the top 10 and went with what I would be looking for if I wanted to buy one of the products I sell.

What's the CTR from website to Amazon?
I used to have more than 100 amazon affilite shops. In average, 6% clicked through and out of it 6% bought that product. 50% of them bought also something else.

Your traffic 100% seo?
Btw Gl on your journey

I'd say about 95% SEO / Search traffic and the other 5% random direct/social/referral

June 28th Update (Shitty edition)

So, not sure how I can say this, but it seems my rankings just tanked since July 23rd/24th (Not penalized as far as I can tell as there isn't a message in my GSC, all other search engines are still showing my ranks properly.)

I still have a post still ranking for #1 today which is pretty much the only source of any income now. It ranks for multiple keywords and they were holding #1 so it was/is bringing a bunch of traffic.

I'm not sure what tomorrow will bring as my ranks just seem to drop more and more for some reason. Here are my rankings now compared to what they were. (I did noindex Category pages that had my content posts on it, I'm going to reverse that to see if that is the cause but its been over a month since I did that)

ripsite.JPG

I did buy 5 Edu links and 2 small link diversification packs (just 2 URLs on my page) from people that had good results like 3 weeks ago, but I might try and see if I can get it reverted as I am not sure if they are the cause or not. Nothing is showing anywhere.

I did see some warnings for some backlinks in SEMRUSH(like 1 toxic backlink and 3 warning ones out of like 200 links in total, the rest are non-toxic - I figured those alone wouldn't be able to cause this much of a shift as what would stop someone to just do this to their competitors)
I'm debating on seeing if the people who provided me the link can remove them or I'll just disavow them is this keeps up in hopes that it clears up.

So far this month I will likely cross the 400$ US mark but next month is looking rough.

Well... I got some work to do, if anyone has suggestions I'd be open to them.

I deleted all the category pages off my website. This way I do not lose any linkjuice to category pages, I feel like they're not necessary. In order to keep the permalink structure I use Permalink manager. That way I can still have 'category' slugs, but have no category pages excisting.

Maybe it's worth trying out instead of putting category pages on no-index.

Don't let Google push you down,
Keep the good work and you will be rewarded :)

I know, if it is some re-ranks, I'll work my way back up. I'm really hoping its the de-indexing issue I had and they bounce back to where they were.

I'm using Oxygen Builder, I don't really have a Category (as it doesn't even use a theme, it runs off templates and just basic Page Builder)

I meant as in I have Pages named Blog, Reviews, etc. that I had de-indexed that had my posts under each of those sections.

So it has been a year. Happy birthday to your site.

What is DR and RD of your site?
Do you always outsource off-page? If no, what's strategy are you using for building links?

Good luck to your journey!

August 1st Update (July Month 2020 Update / Profits)

So this was definitely my best month and I nearly double my profits from previous months. I am hoping this keeps going as my rankings only seem to improve.

July 2020 Month Profit.jpg

On July 30th, my rankings finally returned to normal, as I stated the Noindexing some of the pages that I had done that included my posts were likely the cause. Lesson learned...

Rankings Returned.JPG

I didn't publish any other content from my last 2 updates besides re-writing one of the pieces I had as some parts of it I took and added to a different article that was cannibalizing itself and affecting ranking. It is now ranking pretty nicely.

I also got a Guest Post DA50+ from @Finn and his service. I will get a review once it is completed and I see the results of it.

I'm still waiting to see the results from the previous packages I bought from @Aim100IM (5 Edu Monster guest posts) and 2 starter packages from @Peter Ngo (Diversified links for 2 of my posts)
The no indexing will put a little bit of a delay on that, but the bounce-back was pretty fast and will likely to creep up the first week or 2 of August.
(These reviews are pending results - delayed from my own stupidity)

For August I am going to try to get 2 more articles written up, maybe do 1 informational post and 1 affiliate post. At this point I would rather try and do more outreach and get more backlinks on my site and posts if possible, I might get another Guest Post Package or a Niche Edit.

But so far doing pretty good and I'm super relieved that my ranks bounced back.

I only have SEMrush so I can't see my DR/RD of my site. SEMrush does show an Authority score of 10 right now. But this is based on like 18 articles and a couple of big guides.

Don't forget that these numbers don't matter as much as they can easily be manipulated. I know mine is pretty legit right now just based on how I've watched it go up as I publish more content and slowly build up good backlinks.

Excellent!

Thanks :)

Hey man i just want to ask something because some of my keywords are already on page 1 and some are on page 2 but my organic traffic is still the same. I usually get traffic from quora, reddit, facebook, and pinterest.

I wonder what should i do next if i see my keywords are already on page 1 and 2 and get more traffic? Do u think it is time for me to buy backlinks?

I second that. How much did you spend till now for backlinks?

And what's your link building strategy for new sites?

If you're already on the first and second pages of Google, its usually good, especially if you didn't build backlinks yet. I make sure my ranks stay steady in their range before I buy backlinks. I'm in no rush so I give them a couple of weeks to see where they tend to end up so I have a good idea of what I need to do to get them higher. Whether it's optimizing my page more for SEO or adding content or getting backlinks.

What I would do, is if your on the first or 2nd page, I'd compare your competitor's backlinks/content/metrics and see how they are ranking (Domain Authority, Backlinks, Authority in general, etc.) and see if you can compete. If your competitor has poor page authority and low backlinks, there's a good chance you can nab that position from them by just getting better metrics than them (backlinks, better interlinking for better page authority, etc.)

I would start from the ones which are ranking better as you would see a quicker ROI from them if they get higher ranked. Then I would move on to get the rest up. (This all depends on the search volume as well though - If you have a post ranked for #3 and it only brings like 200 people a month, vs one that is ranked #7th with 2000 visitors, I'd probably get that one up asap over the prior one and maybe even interlink them if there are similar or can contribute to one another in some way which will increase both pages)

Nice that we are able to learn from your mistakes!

Congratz on going +100%, let's hope you will continue this progress next month

To be fair it seems to have been a really dumb mistake, I'm likely just not going to noindex from now on. I've read up on how it can sometimes help rankings but the way I made the site I guess it was not viable to do so. Oh well, lesson learned on my part.

I am hoping to likely get the same amount next month for my income as I have to wait for some of the backlinks I got to take effect/finish taking effect which should get more of my posts to rank higher (hopefully).

I second that. How much did you spend till now for backlinks?

And what's your link building strategy for new sites?

I think for backlinks around 1000$ USD and for content about 400$ USD

I'm planning on just re-investing what I am getting now back into the site as I have a good fulltime job from home so I'm in no stress for this extra income yet.
