So I decided to join this film competition called ABCs of DEATH (Some of you MIGHT have herd of it - as I know there are some genre film fans here). I tried to make a film that would be out of the box for the competition. I feel we did a pretty good job.

Give me your thoughts and I will try to answer any questions about the gear or any other aspects if you do.

Here is the link where it is available:

I am thinking of doing a kickstarter to try and grab some $ back to help pay the crew. If anyone is good with that and would be down to help.

    Hope you enjoy!
If you did, feel free to like it on the page or drop a comment on there!

Brilliant mate, really crazy film. How long did it take to produce that?

    I enjoyed it :)

The fight scenes didn't have "ouch" factor. Like I didn't feel the hits and the neck snapping, it was too soft in a way. Other then that I think you did a great job overall.

    It took this much work:
Pre production - 1 month (including finding the actors, auditions building props ect)
two days of shooting (the final fight scene was 1 day of shooting)
Editing and sound design was 2 - 2 and a half weeks.

    Glad you enjoyed.

I agree to a certain extent. Like any production *unless you have unlimited funds* are strapped to a time constraint that you must respect. Which leaves you with what you have. For example the first fight, there was another take that was much better - however as the guy walked to the door, another man came out, DRESSED THE SAME!? What are the odds. We tried to use that one as the neck snap was much more credible (and the rest of the fight) but could not make it fit...

I guess that is film for you though - dealing with little things like that but still must make the film happen.

You seem to be Korean or speak Korean - therefore I will assume you have watched Korean fight films before - EVERYTHING IS SOFT compared to that :D :blackeye:

I feel like this is a weak production, but that's just my opinion.

You are entitled to your opinion. I would greatly encourage you to also take a look at the constraints for the competition. Making a 3 minute maximum genre film, is not the easiest task.
