    Hi all,

I'm a french guy, I have a 8-6 work for peanuts and i like to write... But in French. My english skills are too low to write in english romance or technic content.

I started my kindle journey 3 weeks ago, with a few books in french, but the kindle french market is not good enough.
Two weeks ago i started to write in english with easy to write books like cook books and I hire a proofreader to correct my spelling mistakes. But this kind of books doesn't sell good, I have to analyze why.

My final goal is to earn 100$ a day.
But before, i have some others goals:
    • 10$ a day
    • 25$ a day
    • then 50$ a day

These goals to achieve are without KOLL, it will be a bonus.

So far, I have 20 ebooks, 6 in french, 14 in english (and 3 romance, 1 business, 9 cookbooks)

Here we go with some stats :

    kindle.jpg

I didn't achieve my first goal.
Lot of my cookbooks were downloaded over 300+ a day during the promotion, but after that no one at all. So before starting to write new books, i'm working again on keywords, covers, descriptions and formating.

    • For keywords, I use zon side kick
    • For covers I thought my covers were great, but i'll read more on this subject
    • For description, I'll rewrite them by using the AIDA formula
    • For formating, I'll add more colors, more customized contents

I will post updates 3 times per week.

    Good luck with your goal.
Did you get any reviews during the free promo or have you bought any?

I had spontaneous reviews for 2 of them, and I bought some reviews for others. I don't know if I had to buy 5+ reviews per book or not

    Home Page:
    - Enroll your books in KDP.
    - Use the 5 day free book promotion on non consecutive different days. Test to see which days work best.
    - You will see more sales during the holidays (like x'mas) so don't stop writing.
    - If you stop writing then your sales will drop. If you write consistently you will make money for sure.
    - Make sure your covers are great. Content does not matter as much as the cover.
    - Buy some reviews that stick.

    Good luck mate !

I use to get 5+ reviews before even running free promo. Some of the sites won't accept my listing if the book has less than 3-4 good reviews. Try this approach on some of your books.

Like I said on the Kindle topic:

I have 34 ebooks and no one make 1 sales per day all month long.

I think I missed a lot of things:

    1) The cover
    2) The description
    3) Length of the books, don't count sale a 50 kindle page at 2,99$. No Way. It's pure fantasy and dream
take a look at the concurrence, you'll see that books are more longer. 10k words book ? Lol, even if at 99c it won't sell.
I think that before publishing any books it's mandatory to get a premium account on amazon, download all books of top 20 of target niches and read them
    4) Promotion

To summarize : It's PURE HARD WORK, not a new eldorado to make money easily...

I also started my kindle journey two months back. As you mentioned this is a pure ongoing work with continuous marketing of your books. I am still new to this journey so trying to see what marketing works best. I will follow multiple threads in BHW as they are greatly help me like this post. Thank you.
