I hope it pay's off for you, i've been involved in authority niche sites well before the micro niche empire was shot down, so i know how much investment and hard work it costs to get sites producing a revenue.
What i'd advise you to do is by making 30-50 blog comments on high page rank websites related to your niche daily to try and get some serp movements.

Search for a broad keyword in your niche and select the "Anchor text commenting blogs" and get some comments on the go.
It's free and not only increase backlinks, can also bring a small amount of related traffic to your sites.
