My Journey With Email Marketing! 10k A Month... Won't Stop Until I Make It!!!!!!!

Welcome to my journey guys. This will be my first actual "journey".

What I will be doing is building an email list in the dating niche. For the first month or so I will be using free methods to drive traffic to my squeeze.

Those free methods will vary between, getting google alerts and using that to post comments, yahoo answers, and social media websites.

After building up a decent amount of subscribers I will then move to paid methods. I'm new at this so it will be a learning experience for you and me as well.

I want to do this journey to show those who are just getting into email marketing that you don't have to just do email marketing in the IM niche. Just go with what you are more confident in writing about.

Work That I Have Already Done:

Alright, So I have been working on content for my list for the past 4 days now. I have 4 articles as of today.

I have already purchased a website in my niche

I will be using a wordpress plugin to make a squeeze page. The plugin is called wp lead plus, and it is free.



Things I Will Be Using:


Alright so what I will using to send the emails will most likely be aweber or constant contact. I'm not entirely sure yet. We will know by tomorrow afternoon.


Goals:

• Tomorrows goal is to write 2 articles because on saturday I will be working a 10hr shift at work.
• My goal for the first month will be 1k subscribers. That should be enough for me to make a little money to invest into paid sources.
• 2nd months goal will be to have 2k-2.5k subs in my list. And $1k-$1.5k in earnings
• 3rd months goal is 3.5k-4.5k and $2-$2.5k in earnings
• 4th month 6k-7k subs and $3-$4k in earnings
• My end goals is to be making $10k a month by my birthday which is in 6 months.

I know anything is possible if you put your mind to it. I'm shooting for the moon with this one.

One of my biggest goals though is to learn from this and hope that someone else learns from this also.

I will be posting here tomorrow with an update of my progress. I will also be posting daily goals for you all to see. Hope to see you all tomorrow.

Okay so today is day one of my journey. My goal today was to write two articles... I only got to one, and started the second one. I forgot I had to do a couple things today so I wasn't really able to start until later on in the day.

I hope I can get out of work early today so I can finish up second seeing as how I won't be able to really write anything tomorrow.

I figured out what I'm going to use for an auto-responder, it will be aweber.


My Goals:

• Finish up my second article tonight
• sunday: do two more articles
• monday buy autoresponder and set up my squeeze page
• monday put articles into autoresponder and start driving traffic

Side Note:

I re-read through my already finished articles last night because I felt like I might have done a crappy job with writing them, well come to find out I feel as if i did a very good job on them except for one. It seemed rushed, and not as informative as I anticipated. It is funny because while I was writing it I was thinking that it was going to be better than the one I wrote previous to it.

It was a big boost of confidence to read them and realize my thoughts and feelings were different then what I had perceived.

Well I will update you guys either tonight or tomorrow on whether or not I was able to finish it. See you guys later

Your biggest challenge will be building free opt-ins. With paid traffic its easy, but you can easily blow $5/DOI lead then if you aren't optimized. Test, test, test.

I have a lead gen funnel for dating, where I give away a free ebook lead magnet, and those that DOI are taken into a autoresponder funnel which first builds engagement/friendship with the reader, and only then starts mentioning potential offers, etc which are also creatively wrapped into a friendly recommendation kind of thing.

Thank you for the advise. I know it will be a challenge with free opt-ins... But I feel it is a worth while challenge for now lol. Could you please explain what doi is? thanks.

Technically it is day three but I wasn't able to do anything yesterday because I worked 12 and a half hours... wooh.

Today I didn't do much of anything because I had a family cookout. So I will definitely be getting stuff done tomorrow, A LOT of things.

Tomorrows Goals:

• Write four articles which will equal 10 emails in total.
• setup squeeze page and purchase an auto responder
• setup my auto responder with email
• and plan my attack lol.

Hopefully tomorrow will go as planned. We will figure it out as time goes on.

I will be setting up google alerts with some keywords for my niche and using those alerts to get some targeted traffic to my squeeze page by posting comments through it. I will also be using yahoo answers and social media as traffic sources.

At some point in time I am going to also be purchasing solo ads.

Thank you man, and good luck to you as well... seeing as how we are working on similar projects we should team up to see what works and doesn't work.

Wow wow wow, i really love this guys... This have been one of my problem, getting free opt-ins.. I thing i will just follow your idea immediately, i am considering another niche which is the poultry farming stuff... will contact you again for any help.....
