Hi guys my name is Jeremy. I've started selling on eBay again about 3-4 months ago with a $445.00 investment selling electronics(mostly computers).
Since I began my new venture / business I have made roughly $4,000 profit in that time frame. Sales have been over $15,000.
I am mostly using this thread to reflect on this in a years time to see what I have accomplished. I will try to update this forum as much as possible.

    My goals for 2014:

    1. Have sales in the $100,000 - $200,000 range.
    2. Form an LLC and get my wholesaler license
    3. Get my website up and running and start getting my customers away from eBay, Amazon etc..

    Nov. 2013 Sales = $3,647.94
    Profit = 25.4%

I am in the process of getting my website design and I think I am going to use woocommerce / wordpress.
Have been in touch with some designers on this website.

Are you dropshipping or are you shipping them from your house?

At this stage I am buying inventory and keeping it in my house. I use my basement room to store all my inventory.
Later on I want to dropship to once I find a reliable source.

Get insurance my friend. in the event something happens to your inventory in your basement you are covered for replacement value. Not only that if you have incoming orders and your inventory gets burn or soaked due to "Acts of god" you are going to ruin your feedback. (I suggest this becuase this has happened and I never thought it would) 2nd get you LLC today if your in the USA its typically 35-40 dollars.

Anyways it sounds like your doing great! keep going and work hard.

I only had 2 cases open so far and they weren't that bad. One guy wanted to return because he didn't want to deal with warranty. The other had problems with activating windows 8 and I just took a return on it.
I thought about doing that whole Black Friday but I didn't want to get up that eearly and deal with all that crazy people. I would end up getting in a fight with someone. I think Black Friday is stupid anyways. Never done it.

I know that my house insurance covers stolen property. I don't no about flooding but I don't have to worry about that. I live in kansas and on a hill. I am going to look into this further since you said that.
I haven't even thought of that except if my inventory got stolen but I would be cover. I plan on forming an LLC next month since its a new year. I won't have to pay taxes this year so I don't want to form an LLC just yet.

Amazing luck to you. With the figure for Novembers earnings, it seems as if it will be possible to get the income you want. Just keep growing, and you will be golden!

NEVER set an upper limit. Goal #1: surpass $100,000. Goal #2: surpass $______.

    Update:

Sales are off to a slow start. I had one return and that was for $397 for an all in one desktop and then it was damage on the return back to me. I forgot to put an declare valve on the shipment so I will only get $100 through ups. I learn a good lesson there..to always put a declare valve on shipments. The only good thing about the situation is I will give the desktop to my parents for Christmas. They needed a new desktop as its been years since they upgraded.

They will be happy with that present. Also when I bought these all in one desktops from my source when I received the them one of the desktops screen was crack, so I've had to return to get it fix / replace and they can't find one to replace it. So I know if I had those two sold I would be + 892 for the month. Right now I am at $954.00 for the month.

On another note can you write off a web design / website on taxes? Anyone know anything about that?

Thank you sir. Anyone know if you can wire off a web design when you do taxes? Has anyone ever hear of that? I don't think its possible but want to see if anyone here has done that.
