Hey guys, I'm a complete absolute super noob at this, but I thought I should start a journal here. Excuse the "thoughts", since I'll be mostly copy/pasting from my Evernote.

Firstly, a little bit of background info about me:
I'm a 19yo Australian girl and I moved to South America by myself in January to do a photojournalism internship and teach English. Now I've moved cities and since the teacher hiring season is over, I'm in desperate need of money, I guess! So I've taken to the Internet, since generating foreign income here helps a lot. Most English institutes here hire teachers at $5USD/hour (mine was underpaying me at $200-300/month for 30 hours/week). Sooo, I think that I'd be better off spending that time online instead. As of now, my goal is just to make enough to survive ($390/month rent + bills and food), so I'm hoping to EVENTUALLY get to $600/month or $20/day to help out with that. However, right now, my immediate goal is to maybe make $50/week to help out with the groceries... as a starting point!

At the moment, my plan is to rely on Fiverr, oDesk and Elance whilst I research IM since I know nothing, zero, nada, zilch about it. I'm looking at some of the guides on the site and stuff, and just trying to build up my IM vocabulary and learn the general processes and stuff.

So, without further ado, I'll start posting. My first entry is actually 15/05/2014, so I'm gonna post it now, and I'll post today's (17/05/2014) in the following post once I write it up :)

Today was my first day of like, actual semi-serious work, but I still feel like I?m going nowhere. Basically, this week, I took the liberty of creating an introductory post on BHW, as well as researching some methods. I joined the following websites:

    -Commission Junction
    -Clickbank
    -Peerfly
    -Fiverr
    -oDesk
    -eLance

Hopefully something will come out of these. Yesterday, I posted my first gig on Fiverr, a HD vid testimonial thing and woke up with a message requesting the gig, but it was kinda dodge. Nevertheless, I?ll probably take it. Hopefully I?ll get a reply again.

Today I took a job on oDesk and corrected an essay, but I haven?t been paid yet? These websites seem kinda dodgy so I?m thinking of stepping away from them.. maybe. But it?s a start, I guess.

I?ve also cleaned up my computer in hopes of being more productive, which I think will help and stop me from getting distracted. I?ve decided that what I need to do before I start is more research.

To-do: Research and be introduced to IM and maybe look at some programmes for Mac.

Test post since this thing says I keep violating the site posting rules even though I have no links, swears or contact info in the thing I'm trying to post...

EDIT: figured it out.. the word 'skype' was triggering... -_-

    oDesk
Woke up with the money from correcting that essay, which took me like 20 mins. $6 in the bank from oDesk. My first money that has been earned and it's not much, but I'm really excited about it. The client also told me that they'll have more essays for me to mark next week (each essay is just 300 words), and since they're doing a course, I think that this will be a recurring thing.

To continue with oDesk, I've been offered a photography contract to take the pictures for oDesk articles ($110 for 20 articles). All verified and stuff, I just need to pass the first test article which is a paid one at $5. I'll do that tomorrow.

And finally, I have a contract offer to do a 1-2min video testimonial for $20. However, the video testimonial is on like, weightloss products so I feel kind of embarrassed to do it, haha. And the client wants to have a Skyp3 interview with me, and since I'm a bit shy, I'm really unsure. I guess I'll send my Skyp3 address tomorrow and see how it goes.

    Fiverr
I did a Fiverr review exchange with a member here, which I think was a really good boost to land my first sale. And apart from him, I've had a total of 4 orders on my gig and it's only been posted for like 3 days or so. Fiv err also says I have $16 in upcoming earnings. A modest beginning :D

IM ProgressAlright, tonight I'm gonna down and read the curation of the best posts from here and make a list of vocab for myself. Followed by some self-help books to pump me up. So, sorry guys, I don't have any IM progress to report yet.

    Money sealed from today: $6
Total money from the whole month: $6

I remember your introduction post and it's good to see you have already formulated a plan and started to implement it.

Your written skills are good and your writing style is very readable, so I would also suggest perhaps signing up on some of the content sites. It could be an easy income supplement for you. iWriter and Constant Content would be a good start and I'm sure you would do well.

Best of luck with your journey.

Ah, okay. Well if your internet marketing falls through you could always start a weed plantation since it's legal there now. ^^

Anyways, good luck, keep us updated on how it goes!
