Never really introduced myself to the forums for the time I've been here. I'm thenwhat.

A little background about me: In high school I made money by reselling items and by promoting a clothing site that offered $10 GC per referral (botted for referrals on social media and resold products I got "for free" in school). These methods eventually died, which lead to me becoming more interested in making money online because I thought there was less work :thumpdown (I was wrong, lol). So here I am on BHW. Within the last year I've tested several methods, made a few hundred here and there. After trying many black hat methods (that only lasted me a few weeks) I've finally decided to switch to a white hat method because of stability. Enough about me, here's my plan...

Guide I'm following to build my site: Ultimate guide to building Amazon Affiliate Niche Sites that are Insanely Profitable by Nick Flame

Why do I want to do this?
    • Don't have to work a :lame: 9-5 job
    • To be one step closer to being financially free and not have to worry about this money nonsense.
    • Have more time for my daughter

    What's my plan?
    • Create an Authority Amazon Niche Site that ranks in Google

What have have I done so far today? :whoo:
    • Domain name + Hosting
    • Research keywords + long term keywords
    • Made a layout rough draft of homepage
    • Ordered 3 articles (from reallife)

What I plan to do next

    • Make the comparison tables for each article when I get them
    • Order more articles
    • Find a theme that fits my liking

I won't be updating this thread daily because I feel I won't get to work on my site everyday. I will however, update when I feel I have done or found something that contributes to my future success.

I'm open to any constructive feedback, I feel as if I'm really going to need it.

    Good luck with your journey.
Are planning to do some linkbuilding or will you let it rank naturally? (If it's really HQ content)

Good luck mate! Next things to figure out are the link building (you are planning on staying white hat, but it doesn't mean the sites will rank themselves) and the actual testing of what types of links convert the best. Nick's guide is extremely useful for the purposes of your journey, so you should have no problems in going through with it!

I was hoping it could rank with no backlinks but I doubt it will rank highly. I was reading an article here on bhw saying that if you could rank all your articles with no backlinks in the top 100, Google sees your content as high quality (Making it easier to rank with backlinks?)

I'm trying to decide between a PBN, tiering, or Web 2.0s not sure which one to use. What would you guys recommend?

I was also thinking of finding niche related forums and link to my site on there to diversify my source of traffic.

It is exactly what I will start to do, once I'm less busy with other things.
If your niche is "social friendly" you could try out social traffic from the big networks

    Will follow... Best of luck!

I would pick PBN anytime any day! The thing to keep in mind is that it has to be an exclusive PBN! although it is always a good practice to mix them with web 2.0s to make it more natural.

I will advise you to start pushing articles to the blog, but don't even build a single link. everything is getting turned over by Google.

Thanks everyone for the support and advice! I appreciate it.

Could you recommend any services on bhw that can do this for me?

I might do the same actually, i'll do mine from scratch this time from:
    - Keyword research/Niche research
    - Building it eg. Theme, articles
    - Building a PBN or Web 2.0 instead of churn and burn.

After reading the thread you talk about - "the articles with no backlinks in the top 100", I was excited because I don't have budget for tools and strong backlinks to test things and wanted to try this approach.

So, I created 3 mns websites with 5-8 articles. One with very easy keyword, and the other two with medium diffculty keywords. The easy keyword ranked pretty fast at page 6 and a month later at page4, without any backlinks. The other two, no matter what I changed - keyword density, article length, title, description etc..., the best rank I achieved was around 180 for the second, and 240 for the third site without any backlinks.

What I mean is, IMO testing is everything in IM. :)

IMO just keep adding articles to the site and wait for the penguins to settle.
See how you are ranking without links and maybe then start building some backlinks.

    Wishing you good luck!

    UPDATE:

Received my articles, made comparison charts for them. Have them as drafts and ready to post.

I put my site in maintenance mode (Coming soon plugin) and am sending social signals and traffic to the site to let google know my site is getting some traffic and social activity so once I start posting articles and building links it won't look unnatural.

Ordered 4 more articles from NatashaNixon.
    $12/article (800 words each) = $60 total.

    Ordered 1 article from reallife.
    $60 for a 2000 word article.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    $25/article so a total of $75

Possibly big enough to be an authority site. I plan to make physical products to sell and also hire a few people to help manage it.

Nice! There's hope for this method working. My keywords are also medium difficulty. Hopefully my silo structure helps me rank well enough.
