    Bit about myself

I'm 24 years old, I first found this community in October 2012 and found myself over whelmed with information and didn't know where to begin, I was in full time employment in a job that wasn't for me, I've owned a couple of websites in the past but nothing that generated any money as back then I honestly thought it was a case of copying a successful site and make it and then simply sit back and watch the visitors roll in! However that wasn't the case, I never really thought about SEO and never really paid much attention to it!

In July 2012 my grandmother sold her house and decided to give her family some money, this gave me the opportunity to do something some may find retarded or stupid but I ditched my job which I had for almost three years and started afresh and did something I wanted to do, we only live once right? and in this economy I have come to realise that you will not get anywhere or where you want to be if you are working for someone, so I knew I wanted to make money online, I was familiar with websites and I started reading about SEO, I started a website, (well I relaunched my website which I made early 2010 which was simply idle) in November 2012, I did my keyword research, I found around 25 potential keywords and I finally started my back linking campaign..

My first month I had earned £42.00, I know it wasn't millions but I knew what I was doing was working, these earnings were made by getting to rank 1 with a low competition keyword which didn't have many searches, by the second month I had made £146, third month £244... fourth month £550... and finally last month topped at £750.

By all means, the way I have described the above seems to have been an easy thing to accomplish for some but for me and has taken a lot of work and time to do but I have now set up a site from start to finish (still progressing with keywords/seo) taken it from generating nothing, to a solid £600 - £800 a month site.

Why am I starting a journey?

This is simple, I need motivation to progress, I would like to scale it up by creating another website, etc etc, this journal will give me the motivation I need (I hope), Things will be slow, as I will be looking towards SEO for traffic and I know this is a long process as I have just been through it.

This is not a PPD journey or a YT journey, This is a website + seo earning business which will take a minimum of 3 months to reep in the benefits (well for me anyway, probably not for seo legends).

I am not an seo professional, I have simply read information from various sources online and practiced my own methods.

What would I like to achieve from this venture?

I would love to be able to support my girlfriend completely and buy a house within 2 years (not outright, mortgage'd obviously) but for the time being I would like a stable income of around £2000 - £3000 a month, this income will be from my current website that is already generating around the £800 mark and this journey website.

    SEO Tools???

Here's the juicy part! I had reinvested in SEO tools during my first website and managed to aquire a nice little kit that I think will suffice during my journey, I will be doing all the SEO myself on my home desktop keeping expenditures down to a minimum, I will list the programs I will be using:

    SeNuke xCr
    GSA SER
    GSA CB
    ScrapeBox
    Inspyder Back Link Monitor
    Inspyder Rank Reporter
    Micro Niche Finder
    Indexification - (crawling service)
    Article Builder

I will not be revealing my back linking technique or methods as there are lots of threads here already that go in depth about that subject, I don't mind answering questions if I am able to, my main focus is to gain some motivation by keeping a journal.

So, that's me and this is my introduction, hopefully one day I can look back at this and say "I've made it"

I will be updating my progress randomly, but often.

    wish me luck!

This journey website will consist of around 100 articles of which 25 will be made for individual keywords I have researched, the rest will be added simply to bulk up my site and longtails.

I have made social accounts for the site and have set up twitter feed for automation, I have found this also helps index my new articles.

I have set up GSA SER campaigns to my social accounts to bulk up my social presence for my brand name, I will also add my domain url to this campaign for a week or so, I must be careful as I have tweeked GSA SER and am producing just under 200 links per minute, PR filter has been set to PR4 + to be on the safe side.

I have currently put 5 articles up which are all indexed, However SEO has been a little held back by my other site, this will however change from Monday as I will concentrate my efforts more on this journey site, one of the articles are ranked 13th currently so I will start my SEO with that keyword, I tend to post an article and wait for it to be indexed then check its rank and see if I should commence backlinking, I start on the highest ranked post and work my way down to the lowest in regards to SEO.

Don't rely on automatic backlinks generating software
Quality backlinking work WAY better than 1000s of junk backlinks lots of the marketers try to get.

    Thanks guys!

In regards to automatic back linking software, this is how I do my SEO, I understand what your saying but this is my tactic and it may take a little longer but it works.

I've got quite a large list of pr4+ social networks that can be automated and social bookmarks/wikis, the way I think about 'junk' or 'spammy' back links is one page spun unreadable content which is irrelevant to your niche...

However, my backlink content is from article builder, it's readable and relevant to my niche and then I will backlink all my first tier instead of spamming first tiers.

I will be powering up my tiers, not mass bombarding backlinks to my site, this is effect increases those links popularity and hopefully gain some pr in the future which will then pass that link juice down to my site, I'm not looking for instant results, I'm willing to wait 3 months for results.

I decided to set up a couple more advertising blogs to get my websites brand name out there as its not actually appearing in the SERPS for its URL when you seperate the words within the URL..

    Example:

    URL: www.happydays.com

    Search query: happy days

Obviously that needs to get done and a few more high authority links needed there.

I've combined my URL + social account urls and my main wordpress/tumblr urls into my GSA ser campaign which is set to high PR links submitting to directories/SN/articles I will be leaving them as is for the time being and let it run.

Once the domain gets a few links to it, it will be easier to rank my keywords.

No keyword SEO started yet, ill start those campaigns during the week.

    Quick update:

My sites brand name is now appearing on the first page, I'm really happy with how fast this has happened...

It was nowhere to be seen last week and has only had a couple days making a few social signals and then plopped into GSA.

Ranked at number 5, should get to number one soon, I personally think branding your domain also provides anchor text variation, If for instance I'm building links to my root domain using my brand name keywords which isn't a keyword at all, simply a name, I will then be able to aggressively build links with my money keywords for my root domain much quicker and not worry about penalisation as I have built plenty generics or brand name variations already.

    Ok, here goes.

This is what I use these programs for, others may differ.

GSA SER is purely used for building extra tiers, nothing goes into a project which isn't at least a Tier 1 link, these Tier 1 links are checked on a daily basis to make sure they are alive, if they are dead, they get dropped, I continuously add Tier 1's to projects and and duplicate campaigns if it gets saturated with links, I continuously remove dead Tier one URLS.

I also have some indexing projects set up in GSA SER, which consists of every quick or spammy links imaginable, guestbooks, blog comments, trackbacks, microblogs etc.. I only paste Tier 2 + links in the indexing campaigns, Tier 1's do not get indexed this way. My understanding of my method is simple, build at least three tiers, force index the tier 2's and 3's and let gbot find my Tier 1's naturally.

GSA CB is my primary source for captcha solving, nothing else is used for this.

Scrapebox is also for blasting my unindexed tiers with comments, harvesting pr 3+ social network platforms to post to, checking possible platforms for phishing and maylware, don't want my link on a page that is harmful.

Backlink Monitor is a must have for an SEO enthusiast, it allows you to remove any no follow links and separate these types of urls, it checks for dead links too, so you are always building tiers upon tiers that are live do follow links.

Rank reporter, from the makers of BLM, for checking SERP's.

MNF is for my keyword research, nothing special but does the job, a little bit time consuming, there might be better tools for this but I've invested into this program now, so I use it.

Indexification is linked to GSA SER, all verified links get sent to indexification for pinging purposes, I have turned off the pinging function within GSA for speed.

Article builder, this provides me with my content, it's normally always at least 60% unique, the content is normally used for only my tier one links.

    hope that helps.
