    HI everyone.

So this is my first journey, or my first attempt at anything a bit more serious in IM. So far I've been promoting dating sites which is still my main business that's bringing me some nice income. However, I want to diversify my income sources, try myself in some other niches and learn new things on the way. Thus, this journey.

So, what I'm planning to do is to make nice, goodlooking fitness web with some quality content. I'm by no means expert in fitness, not even close, but to me it seems that this niche has some potential. As for the traffic, I will rely on social networks as I don't have time, knowledge or interest to do SEO.
I divided my tasks in 3 categories, and when I put everything on paper I just shook my head as it seems there's so much work to do that it looks unatainable for me. Especially because I lack some tech savvy. However, I'll do my best and use you guys as a motivation.

    So heres the plan:

    WEB AND CONTENT

    1) Buy a domain - I'll pick some nice, catchy name for cca 10$
    2) Write 20 articles - I won't actually write the articles, I will just take some very good and quality articles from one popular source and spin it manually to make sure it doesn't affect the readability (I will use The Best Spinner for this, which I bought for 47$). As i said, I won't rely on google traffic, but i will make the uniqueness of the articles high to give google chance to rank me however :)
    3) Find nice, good looking, fitness apropriate WP theme (20-40$)
    4) Hire some service to design the color scheme and logo for the web
    5) Put everything together - As I said, I'm pretty new to all this, so this will take me a lot of time and effort. Besides posting the articles in apropriate categories and designing and making site look nice, as I will rely on social traffic, I have to install some nice plugins. Apart from some classic plugins for every possible social network, I'm going to use the one that locks part of the content until someone shares you on some social network, Fblikejacker which seems to be useful, and bunch of plugins for email opt-ins following advices from Matthew Woodward.

    TRAFFIC

As I said, I will rely on social networks traffic. This is the plan:
    1) Buy Tumblr blog in fitness niche with 10K followers (I have a guy currently working this for me, 300$)
    2) Purchase follow liker and grow Instagram account; buy some shoutouts from big niche accounts; when my account hits 10K followers, start searching S4S
    3) Make accounts on every other big social network - Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Youtube, G+
    * Facebook - I will use Fblikejacker to get lies for my page; I will also post my articles in bunch of fitness related groups
    * Twitter - Use Tweepi to follow and unfollow accounts in my niche; buy shoutouts from big acounts
    * Pinterest - Have no idea, that place is so strange for me, but it has millions of women interested in this stuff so I'll figure something out. Also, advice very welcome.
    * Youtube - never did anything on youtube, I'm total idiot for that. Advice very, very welcome.
    4) Possible, but not sure yet - buy quality mailing list with cca 10K people, 300$
    5) Buzzbundle - set it up to monitor bunch of kewywords related to my articles, interact with people by answering their questions and posting my links.

    MONETIZATION
This will definitely come at the end, when everything else is set up. I am not planning to go with google ads, I will place aff links of appropriate stuff across my articles, do reviews, reccomend stuff etc. So far I came up with following ideas, but I'm open for other as well.
    1) Fitness books and ebooks (Amazon and Clickbank)
    2) Sports clothes and equipment
    3) Training supplements (proteins etc.)
    4) Workout applications (running, whatever)
    5) Personalized workout programs (perhaps reselling from Fiverr)
    6) Cool t-shirts (campaing on teespring)

    Done so far:
    - Spinned 1 article in Best spinner (I'm still learning)
    - Got a guy to make me Tumblr blog with 10K followers

    Today:
    - Spin more articles (at least 3)
    - Possibly purchase follow liker and play a bit in it until I get it right (I saw some threads around here, so I hope it wont be a big problem)

So, that's pretty much it. Obviously, it will take A LOT of time, energy and money, but I hope it will pay off in terms of both money, but also experience and knowledge. The plan is to first "write" all the articles, and start to develop some presence on social networks. When I have all the articles, then its time to set up the site.
Looking forward to your comments and advices!

    Thanx

Just to make an update on this thread in a hope that I will be making new updates more frequently from now on.
The idea and this journey have not been abandoned, but as I'm somewhat slow learner and even slower doer, so everything was a bit slower than expected. However, I did do some things and did have some succes up till now. So here's what I've done so far, and what did it result with.

    1) I made a site using some nice, viral theme. I created 20 articles - some of those are articles that I translated from my tongue language and some are rewritten.
    2) Installed some plugins - FB like jacking ninja and bloom for email capturing are worth mentioning. I will add zero bounce plugin and mobile as injector in the following days.
    3) I wrote 4 articles (rewrote actually) promoting 4 clickbank product, following the great similarweb method from that guy who mysteriously got banned few days after posting that method. I also put some google ads. Those are only money making things on the site for now.
    4) I bought 2 tumblr blogs which are my main traffic source currently: on is in some general girls niche (love, quotes etc.) and has 54K followers, the other is in fitness niche and has 14K followers
    5) Joined some FB fitness and health groups where I post my articles and get some traffic from there too.

Basically, the site went live some 2 weeks ago, and here are some stats:

I get anywhere between 200 and 700 visitors daily, as I said most of it from tumblr but also facebook, and I also started to get few organic visits.

I made 10,53 euros on adsense.

    adsense.png

I also made 137,26$ on clickbank, however one bastard asked for refund leaving me with 105,30$ :)

Anyways, thats pretty much all that has been done till now. I'm quite satisfied I must admit, the first earnings really gave me a boost and I'm now quite enthusiastic about it again.

Things to do from now on:
    1) Write articles (one per day or so), some with aff offers and others just giving some wuality informations
    2) Try to perfect my email capturing skills by experimenting with giveaways, optin forms etc. Also, set up some relatively frequent autoresponders to keep my (mostly) girls engaged.
    3) Try to develop on other social platforms: for twitter I'll probably use a bot, but am looking to buy some quality Instagram account with at least 10K followers in fitness niche. Also, I'm currently in search for a pinterest account. I'll try Fb ads also some times in the future.

Ok, so thats it or now. Feel free to ask me anything, and I'll try to reply. I'll also try to update more frequently.

    Cheers

This is a long overdue, but I still wanted to update you on where this (ultra slow) journey is going.

Basically, I completely changed the method. I decided to concentrate exclusivelly on tumblr for now, as I managed to amass some 160K pretty targeted, fitness, female followers there.
I decided to write my own fitness related book, brand it, build trust and promote it to my followers. If I manage to get my hands on some decent accountd on other social networks (Ig, snapchat or twitter), I will get back to having a proper site. In the meantime, while tumblr is my main traffic source, I will do everything on tumblr.

    More about the book:

I'm somewhat interested in fitness topics, so I picked the niche and thoroughly researched the content. I hired a writer on upwork to put everything together. When the content was finished, I did the "design" (it's in qoutes because I really suck at it - all was done in word and paint :).
The cost of writing a book: 200$

As for the selling, I decided to sell it through the Gumroad. It's a nice little platform that lets you list your own product, handles all the payments and distribution and collects the buyer's email adresses. It also has few nice and useful features. If you want to know more about the gumroad, I'll be happy to answer.

Anyhow, these are the stats after a bit less than a month of promoting (actually, I didn't do much promotion lately, so the potential earnings could be significantly higher):
    gumroad.png

However, at this stage I'm pretty satisfied. I put my name out there, managed to get some recognition and trust, earned some nice money and got 350 email adresses of fitness freaks.

    Some future plans:
    1) try to get more followers on tumblr, but also try to get my hands on some fit related stat accounts on other social networks
    2) write another book, related to this one but with a twist.
    3) find partners on tumblr and other networks and offer them some decent rev share for selling my books

Will keep you updated on this. Eventually :)

If you have any questions, feel free to ask, I'll be around!

Why did you decided to go with Gumroad instead of Amazon?

I don't know, I didn't even consider the amazon. Gumroad somehow looks cool and is pretty intuitive and simple and I just wanted to try it.
Though, I was thinking to put it on amazon eventually, once the sales on tumblr drop down.
