So I started surfing the web 4 months ago looking for business ideas and wanting to make a living from the net. I know very little about computers (used to know a lot). I knew nothing of web building, SEO or marketing. All I knew is that I want to work for myself. After long hours looking for an Idea I decided to try creating a website that would basically focus on my strengths. I am very good at 2 things, interior design and creating relationships with companies. I decided to create a website that would sell modern home d├ęcor.

I decided that I need to take some time off of work and go to conventions to find product. Next after peaking some companies interests I started to create a website from BigC. Overall it has been quite a learning curve but I have stayed pretty driven. During these past few months I have also tried to learn all about SEO. SEO I found to be very daunting so unfortunately I hired a company. They made me a "deal" for about 1K a month I hired them for. It has been 2 months and nothing yet but I'm trying to be patient with them (I might be getting scammed but I wouldn't know).

Now I feel like my website is now marketable. I have 40 companies that I am working with so about 1000 products on my website. Unfortunately I never came up with a marketing plan and I know nothing of marketing :angryfire. So my website is kinda staying stagnant. I have talked to a popular home design website and I might start to advertise on their site. I also have a list of 2,000 interior designers but I've never done email marketing and I'm not sure of what to do or where to go next. So I'm left looking on the net for Ideas. I made one sale but no others. Now need to find a company, someone or a way to help me market my site. If I can get the ball rolling on this I feel like it can be very profitable. I also need a way to get traffic to my site as I am only getting about 30 people a day on it. I looked on fiverr for help with traffic but am not sure if that will hurt my site. Any recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated.

You can also try incorporating social media to get more traffic to your site AND you have to change the font buddy. It was really hard to read.

Just fixed it so I'm one day ahead :). Funny that black would be the default.

Yep running a modern accessories ecommerce website....we'll I built one...now I don't know really where to go with it. I have been considering Using Houzz or an affiliate program. I know pretty much all about Houzz but don't know anything about affiliate programs or other ways to market.
