My journey to live in Malaysia

    Short introduction

I currently live in The Netherlands (so excuse me for the grammatical errors and all) and I travel quite alot. 6 months ago I went to Malaysia, to Langkawi to be exact. Once I was there I didn't want to leave anymore. I made a promise to myself that I'm going to make a steady income and leave The Netherlands to live in Malaysia. I've been a member on this forum since 2012, but I haven't used the site anymore for ages. Let me clarify that I'm not going into the Blackhat World, but that I want to share my journey with everyone to see what I did and what I achieved.

Why do you want to move?

People that don't live in Europe probably think Europe is fantastic and there is nothing better then living in one of the European countries. Guess again, that's totally not true. The main reasons why I want to leave Europe is of the cold people. They all focus on one thing and that's their life. They are not social, they don't want to get to know other people, unless they're drunk. Once I was in Asia, I noticed that everyone is very open. They talk to you, they want to get to know you and they want to hang out with you. I'm talking about the tourists and the local people. Of course that's not the only reason. WHITE BEACHES, BABES AND PARTY'S!!!
    :p

I don't give a peep about your life. So what's the plan?

Date started: 17th of October 2014
Date end: 17th of October 2015

    Goal:

    • Make 100 micro niche sites
    • Earn $2000 per month with 100 micro niche sites
    • Each micro niche site will have monthly search of 1500+
    • Each micro niche site will have 1 article added per month
    • Each micro niche site will have an EMD

You will probably say that Google will punish them. I have the believe that if you keep adding articles to the sites, that they will be staying at their spots.

Not all Europeans are cold. I have met plenty of nice people in Eastern Europe, Italia, even the Scottish. Well, to each their own. That's quite a detailed goal you got there bro. Hope next year this time you're posting from Malaysia. Good luck ! :)

why don't you try Tenerife first, it's a lot closer, and it has everything you're looking for, beaches, babes, party, nice weather, closer to home and nice people all year long.

This. The thought that came to my mind while reading the post.
What an irony that I find the people living in Amsterdam for ones of the friendliest I've ever met.

Guys, although he has generalised pretty much half of the world; everyone has an opinion. But other than that, I'm not sure what $2000 in Europe can get you (i'm guessing not all that much) but in most of Asia; apart from Hong Kong, you can live off $2000 a month, Malaysia included. So going by those standards he should be fine.

Plus, Asian girls are my weakness.

Not all, true. Sorry for generalizing. I hope so too. I will keep you guys up to date.

I probably should of not generalized, lol.

    Maybe, maybe not.

Tenerife is quite expensive tho. Do you live there?

It depends where you meet them.

    Somalia? Lol.

$500 p/m in Asia is enough to live with.

Micro niche sites, eh. I hope I'm wrong about this but I think that ship sailed a long time ago. Currently, starting 1 authority site is a much better strategy than starting 100 MNS. Anyway, good luck with your project and goal.

I think you are making a rather sweeping generalisation of Europeans - and of Asia too for that matter.

I've been to Langkawi and to Penang and to many, many other islands around the world and I agree with you that the people on Langkawi are friendly and happy. In fact, people on every island I've been to are happier and friendlier.

I also agree with you that some people in Europe are cold.

I don't think the difference is the people though - I think it is the environment the people are in.

Cities are heavily populated and by nature are impersonal places and islands in the tropics much less populated and by nature, warmer and friendlier places. That's why travellers love going to islands.

You said the tourists on Langkawi are also nicer people - I bet a lot of them were Europeans.

Good luck with your journey though, You know what want and where you want to be, so I do hope you are successful :)

Best of Luck with your Journey. But if you want to Live in with MNS, I will suggest you to Build Macro Niche sites with Flexibility to get More Related. Means Build 10-20 Websites with 20-50 Posts Instead of Building 100 Websites with 2-5 Posts in each Website. Macro Site have chance to make More.

Great journey. I'm starting mine for a similar reason - I love travelling and I can't stand it in my hometown anymore. You seem to be off to a good start. Good luck!

How much time did you spend in Malaysia, if you don't mind asking.
When you are 3 weeks on holiday, every place feels better than home. I can't remember one vacation that actually made me wanna left.
Are you OK with healthcare, infrastructure and crime in Malaysia?

I'm from Malaysia, from my perspective. Malaysia is actually a great country but run by corrupted politicians and unfair treatment to other races apart from Malays. Mostly spent my time in the city centre therefore I'm not so sure about Langkawi and all, however if your person that enjoys Cigarette and Alcohol. Langkawi is one of the best place to get them really cheap. Oh yeah, in Malaysia we somehow are amazed when we see any Caucasians on the street (no idea why though).

However, I just want to say think twice about moving to Malaysia. There isn't anything much to do in Langkawi and city centres in Malaysia have high crime rate due to lots of foreigners like Snatch Thiefs, Car Theft etc. And there are also haze problem but one thing awesome about Malaysia is the food no doubt of that.

Infrastructure and Health is okay in Malaysia as long as your living near the City Centres like KL, Johor etc. Not quite sure bout Langkawi. But I heard there are lots of jellyfish incidents were people get stung.

Your goals with micro niche sites and EMDs sound like you are in 2008. It's better to build one niche site around topic that you are passionate about, that way you'll much easier stay focused and driven. But I like that you are moving to some other country, it's great to explore new things, and yeah, not all people from Europe are cold, maybe you just didn't meet any. ;)
