Hi BHW! I've been a reader here for a number of years, but never commented or opened an account. I've been having a lot of trouble lately with productivity and getting things done. It's driving me crazy and really starting to depress me. I have many projects I want to complete, and I know I am capable of completing them, but I get so bored working on them during the day that I lose focus and motivation. This fear of boredom is REALLY holding me back from achieving my goals. I've been an entrepreneur for many years, most of my income comes from my online businesses, and I love that I get to work from home. But in recent years, things have been really hard because I have become bored with the daily tasks. I have to drag/force myself to work. I hate that. I used to love my work, and I really want to get back to loving it again. I think a lot of my problem has to do with friends and associates of mine who started off as entrepreneurs like myself, but gave up along the way. I think that has left me feeling alone and bored, being an entrepreneur all by myself. It would be nice to have someone to work with during the day, or some friendly competition to bring the thrill back. So that's why I decided to join this forum. I've been reading the IM Journey stories and I am SUPER motivated and excited to get sh*t done now! I have a few online businesses I want to start this summer and I know I can get them up and running if I use this forum as a "friend" to do it with. But before I can start those businesses, I have a ton of unfinished projects that I want to clear off my desk first so I will have space to work. I've always been the type to finish what I start, and the fact that I have unfinished projects lingering around my desk gives me anxiety every time I step into my office. I want them completed and off my desk. Today is Monday and it is the perfect day to start. Project 1: The first project on my desk is to finish creating a 25 page book that I want to sell on my website and Amazon. Here's what I am doing today: 1. Download and install Photoshop CS6. 2. Create a logo for the front cover of the book in Photoshop (PS). 3. Create the front cover for the book in PS. 4. Create a layout for the pages inside the book in PS. 5. Proofread/edit the contents inside the book. 6. Create the back cover of the book in PS. I plan to work on each section for an hour each day until the book is complete. Roughly a 6 hour workday, Monday through Friday. Possibly weekends as well. I was going to post a photo of my office in the "Show us your office" thread so you could see how many unfinished projects are sitting on my desk, but I am not allowed to post images yet It would have been nice to show before and after photos of the projects getting cleared off my desk. Oh well. I will post an update on today's progress tonight or tomorrow morning. See you soon!
