    Hi BHW!

I've been a reader here for a number of years, but never commented or opened an account. I've been having a lot of trouble lately with productivity and getting things done. It's driving me crazy and really starting to depress me. I have many projects I want to complete, and I know I am capable of completing them, but I get so bored working on them during the day that I lose focus and motivation. This fear of boredom is REALLY holding me back from achieving my goals.

I've been an entrepreneur for many years, most of my income comes from my online businesses, and I love that I get to work from home. But in recent years, things have been really hard because I have become bored with the daily tasks. I have to drag/force myself to work. I hate that. I used to love my work, and I really want to get back to loving it again. I think a lot of my problem has to do with friends and associates of mine who started off as entrepreneurs like myself, but gave up along the way. I think that has left me feeling alone and bored, being an entrepreneur all by myself. It would be nice to have someone to work with during the day, or some friendly competition to bring the thrill back.

So that's why I decided to join this forum. I've been reading the IM Journey stories and I am SUPER motivated and excited to get sh*t done now! I have a few online businesses I want to start this summer and I know I can get them up and running if I use this forum as a "friend" to do it with. But before I can start those businesses, I have a ton of unfinished projects that I want to clear off my desk first so I will have space to work. I've always been the type to finish what I start, and the fact that I have unfinished projects lingering around my desk gives me anxiety every time I step into my office. I want them completed and off my desk. Today is Monday and it is the perfect day to start.

    Project 1:

The first project on my desk is to finish creating a 25 page book that I want to sell on my website and Amazon. Here's what I am doing today:

    1. Download and install Photoshop CS6.

    2. Create a logo for the front cover of the book in Photoshop (PS).

    3. Create the front cover for the book in PS.

    4. Create a layout for the pages inside the book in PS.

    5. Proofread/edit the contents inside the book.

    6. Create the back cover of the book in PS.

I plan to work on each section for an hour each day until the book is complete. Roughly a 6 hour workday, Monday through Friday. Possibly weekends as well.

I was going to post a photo of my office in the "Show us your office" thread so you could see how many unfinished projects are sitting on my desk, but I am not allowed to post images yet :( It would have been nice to show before and after photos of the projects getting cleared off my desk. Oh well.

I will post an update on today's progress tonight or tomorrow morning.

    See you soon!

I completed everything on the list that I posted yesterday. I worked on each item for an hour. Today's schedule is slightly different since I have already downloaded Photoshop. I will continue working on each item for an hour, for a total of 5 hours:

    1. Create a logo for the front cover of the book in Photoshop (PS).

    2. Create the front cover for the book in PS.

    3. Create a layout for the pages inside the book in PS.

    4. Proofread/edit the contents inside the book.

    5. Create the back cover of the book in PS.

I will post an update on today's progress tonight or tomorrow morning.

I am also putting together a newsletter that I am going to sell on a second website that I am creating. I started putting the newsletter together a few months ago, but it has gone unfinished as well and has been sitting on my desk. I am going to work on the newsletter for an hour each day. That will be my second project.

    Project 2:

    1. Make the layout of the newsletter in Photoshop

I will post an update on today's progress tonight or tomorrow morning.

I can't believe how much I've already completed in just a few days. I don't have that much to do today, so I got to sleep in :)

    Project 1: Day 3

I completed everything on the list that I posted yesterday. I worked on each item for an hour. I completed the logo for the cover, the layout for the inside pages of the book, and also the back cover. Today I will continue to:

    1. Create the front cover for the book in PS.

    2. Proofread/edit the contents inside the book.

I'm also going to proofread and edit the book for 2 hours today instead of 1 hour to speed up the process.

    Project 2: Day 2

I worked on the layout of my newsletter yesterday for an hour as planned. Today I will do the same:

    1. Make the layout of the newsletter in Photoshop

I will post an update on today's progress tonight or tomorrow morning.

A good portion of the tasks from Project 1 have been completed and now I have a few extra hours in the day to start completing another unfinished project.

My third project is a small instagram business that I brainstormed about, but did not complete any steps to get it started. I am going to start working on that project today for one hour:

    Project 3:

    1. Come up with a name for the Instagram business.

By the way, I usually make an outline of all the tasks that need to be done for each project before starting them so I will already know what task needs to be done each day.

I will post an update on today's progress tonight or tomorrow morning.

Good luck and keep going it. Though your project are not very big and you can manage them at the same time, when you'll be starting to work on bigger projects I'd suggest you only do one at a time, it's easier to stay focused that way.

    Project 1: Day 5

I did more edits on the book yesterday and I will do the same today for a few hours:

    1. Proofread/edit the contents inside the book.

    Project 2: Day 4

I worked on the layout of my newsletter yesterday for an hour and added a little content to it. Today is the same:

    1. Make the layout of the newsletter in Photoshop and add some content.

    Project 3: Day 3

Yesterday I decided on a few niches I am going to use for my Instagram business. Today I am going to separate each niche and write a monetary goal for each one. That way I remember the purpose for each niche as I develop each one.

    1. Write a goal for each niche.

I will post an update on today's progress this weekend if I decide to work, or on Monday morning.

    Project 1: Day 6

I did more edits on the book last Friday and I will do the same today for a few hours:

    1. Proofread/edit the contents inside the book.

    Project 2: Day 5

I worked on the layout of my newsletter last Friday for an hour and added a little content to it. Today I will continue working on it:

    1. Make the layout of the newsletter in Photoshop and add some content.

    Project 3: Day 4

Last Friday I came up with some goals for each niche in my Instagram business. Today I'm going to start with one of those niches and open an Instagram account. I read here over the weekend how some people were doing pretty good with Pinterest, by adding AdSense and affiliate links. Sounded like a good idea. After some research, I decided to add a Pinterest funnel to this Instagram business. So today I am going to:

    1. Open a new email, instagram, and pinterest for one niche.

I will post an update on today's progress tomorrow morning.

Thank you. I love my new BFF BHW!! I'm getting so much done! And the best part is that this journey is causing me to be consistent. I was really struggling with that and it was making me depressed. I have not gotten this much done in months. Had I not started this journey, I would probably still be trying to get the book cover done in Project 1. There is no way I would be this far along without posting here. I'm super happy now and I no longer have to force my self to work. I am excited to work now, just so I can post about it here :)
