I'm planning to build a Coupon/Freebies/Discount website. I already have a domain and hosting will come next.

My goal is to earn $15-$20 a day through this website. I will place Adsense ads and I will sign up as an affiliate for websites that fits the category that I will be using for the website.

SEO, Social Media Marketing, Content Marketing, & Email Marketing will be the main marketing strategy for the site.

Any specific ideas about marketing, categories, social media platforms, will be highly appreciated. Thanks much! I'll be updating as much as possible. I just need to gather funds that I will be using to pay the hosting for my website.

Hopefully, someone will provide some good advice that will be useful as I go on doing this journey.

    What I have now:

    Domain name: yourfreebiesandcoupons.com

    What to do next:

    • Buy hosting plan
    • Create social media pages and account for the website
    • Research and look out at what competitors and successful websites under the coupons/freebies niche are doing. (I'll be getting ideas on categories, etc. from these established coupon/freebies site.)

I would remove the domain from the post. Better to be safe!

    Good luck with your journey!

    For starters,

    1. Very Long Domain Name - Get a smaller brandable domain.
    2. Research on your Niche - this is very important.
    3. Get Clipper Theme from AppThemes - https://www.appthemes.com/themes/clipper/ - Non affiliate Link
    4. Get one of the Coupon Importers Plugins - https://marketplace.appthemes.com/?s=Clipper&cat=0&product=31&author=0&rating=0 - Non affiliate link
    5. Sign up for the likes of CJ, Visualsoft, Rakuten Linkshare or one of the several affiliate networks.

Import coupon feeds - setup chron jobs and bank.

Alternatively, after point 3 - setup your site and then sign up for affiliate programs based on your Niche. For example if you're doing Hosting and Online Marketing related coupons - Sign up for Aff Programs of various hosting companies.

Good luck and let me know if you need more help.

Thank you for the tips mate!

Here is what I got now... There are changes in the original plan. My goal now is to earn $20 a day within 1 year using affiliate programs or maybe Adsense ads.

*I'll buy a new domain name and a one year $12 hosting on iPage http://www.ipage.com/product/let-us-win-you-back-deal.bml
*I also have Clipper theme that I will be using for the website.

Next, I will be researching and will be looking at a number of coupon sites and get ideas from them and then, draw out a plan.

Question: Which is better, create a general coupon site, meaning a coupon site of different niches or a more specific one like something that will focus on offering hosting and online marketing coupons only?

    Thanks!
