Introduction
So here is my story. I am 23 years old as I am writing this post and just got fired from my main job – a sales job in cybersecurity.
I live in a small city in Germany, so please excuse me, if I make some grammar mistakes or sth. else. BHW is the only place, where I speak English.
But here is my story: I started as a trainee with no, I mean really no knowledge or skills in sales or marketing. Actually despite the fact I was confident all my life, I didn’t even have talent in sales or marketing. To be honest I was kind of shy and introverted, but that changed quickly after I realize how easy it was to make sales. Yeah, probably also the fact I would get kicked out, if didn’t grab the damn phone and start cold calling, so I somehow had to step over my fears and learn selling.
I never read books before, but I wanted to impress my co-workers, that “this trainee” has some big potential. I bought books (the first time ever). Not because I had to – like it was in school. But because I wanted to, and wanted to improve my skill set.
After reading a couple I guess 4-5 books about sales, marketing and self-development I tried to implement these strategies in my daily job and got some good results out of it.
Nonetheless I continued reading, I developed a mind of an entrepreneur, a person who wants more. Someday I stumbled upon this website called “blackhatworld.com”. What was this? What is online marketing? Wow, there are people making hundreds of dollars PER day? What am I doing with my life? Do I have the skills to become a online marketer?
No. I don’t have the skills. You should start to read the Journeys, the guides, be part of a community.
I guess for almost 6 months I just read the posts before I made my first post. As for today I read more than I post as you can see on my account. I am on BHW for like 4 years now and didn’t start any projects except some Instagram accounts, which are quite successful – we will talk later about that one. But yeah, probably I read too much and do less.
THAT IS MY BIGGEST PROBLEM AND THAT’S WHY I AM WRITING THIS RIGHT NOW!
I got kicked out of the company, because the boss wants to close the company has financial problems and I am/was one of the employees, who got the highest salary. (Funny how I achieved that in 3,5 years from a Trainee to a Professional, but that’s another story)
So here I am know. I have 4 weeks left until I have to apply for new jobs. I want to start university in October and I don’t want to worry about money during my study time.
Right now I am sitting in front of PC with that huge amount of 4 years of knowledge about Social Media Marketing, Online Marketing, Webdesign, Sales and marketing in general.
Good conditions to make some money, don’t you think?
My business ideas
I know some people will tell me “Focus on one project first and then do another one, if the first one is successful and complete.”, but I am pretty sure I can handle all these projects I’ll list below:
1) Local marketing agency:
A friend and me will establish a marketing agency specialized on basic services likes: Social Media Management (Mostly FB and Instagram), Online Marketing (Marketing Automatization, E-Mail Marketing, Analytics etc.), Webdesign and graphic design.
This will take some time to build up a good portfolio of testimonials, but we are two people, who know a lot of business people, which we can call our friends. I guess this will speed up very fast, when we deliver good quality services.
2) Building up my personal Instagram profile to become a fashion influencer.
Yes, I am quite aware of the fact, that probably every second person on earth tries to become an Influencer on Instagram nowadays. But my expertise is in Instagram Marketing, so I just set up an automation software on my account, create high quality content and got deep down in hashtag research. Let’s just see where this journey will lead me. (Actually it is fun to make some good photos of yourself, so I wouldn’t even consider that as “work”)
3) Create a blog, eBook and online video course about Instagram Marketing.
There are like seven trillion courses and eBooks about this topic. BUT. They’re all in English. Of course they’re – the audience is much bigger than in any other language. But fortunately I am from Germany and there aren’t many people with this amount of Instagram Marketing knowledge (Trust me, I can say that with a good amount of confidence) Also there isn’t even ONE video course about the whole topic, only bad written eBooks (they’re just English eBooks translated by the Google Translator).
4) Create a blog about fitness, training etc. with a cool Instagram page
Yeah, this is at 4), because it is just for fun. I go to the gym 6x times a week and know “a little bit” about Fitness. This is kinda like a mix of all my knowledge and kind of an experiment to test my theoretical skills. What is better to test your expertise in a very high competitive market? Yeah, let’s see if I can do some stuff here.
For 3) and 4) I have to buy ThriveThemes for 280$/year. I am actually thinking about this investment. It isn't huge, but I have to think twice. Some voice in my head is telling me to just buy that shit and start making money, the other voice is saying, that it's a waste of money.
NOTE: All projects will be for the german market.
I am not sure how I should structure the process of all these projects, but I guess I’ll just write some long articles like this one. If you have any better idea, just reply to this thread or send me a DM.
What I almost forgot: PLEASE text me, if you have better ideas, critique, questions or anything else.
I'll try to update this topic on a weekly or monthly base.
Kind regards,
Kejko
