Good luck OP. Great journey share.
Yeah, I think I didn't test it enough to be sure. I'm not too sure, but I believe the Instagram web view would of had some affect, mainly because the amazon cookie won't stay in the browser for the 24 hours it normally does.
Thanks, and done.
Another shoutout went up, this time it was $15 on a page with 46.7k followers, with a 75% US audience. Results are below:
Really happy with the profit of $46.55 again, nearly my 3rd $50 day.
I have a decently big shoutout that should be going up today (although the page owner isn't great at responding), and then I have another shoutout (a similar size to the most recent couple) going up the day after. I reckon with these 2 combined I could potentially reach 40k users total for the month of Feb.
I remember much earlier in the journey, @Wafle made a great suggestion about paying pages per 1000 users they bring to the site. This way I can get consistent traffic from them without constantly having to order shoutouts. This will be my future plan for IG.
Expenses (Feb): £94.78 ($122.58) (expenses have stayed the same as I actually added this shoutout's cost into the previous update)
Revenue (Feb): $331.95 (£256.23)
Hmm. And to think that I have a Facebook group with close to 4k members.
It is a group about riddles and jokes.
I have been thinking of a way to monetize this group of mine.
This thread just gave me a clue!
Awesome result again.
Is the shout out lasted up to 24 hours or less?
Did you notice any website fail when you had a certain number of traffic at a time during this campaign?
Glad to hear it!
24 hours, no failing noticed!
Nice job! Very happy for you. Do you use shared hosting?
Great journey OP, would you mind telling whether you give the Instagram accounts "Ad copy" or do they get creative freedom in how they do their shout outs?
Totally! The only issue I see is the page running out of visitors to show the specific quiz to. If they are always promoting the one quiz won't the visitors eventually run out?
Thanks! I use liquid web, I believe its shared hosting but it works differently to normal shared hosting I believe. They talk about php workers.
I give them an ad copy, its super short. Normally the title of the quiz followed by "Link in bio"
Best of luck. I will following this journey. Do you use Skype?
Keep pushing, find a way to get free shout outs bro. Plus grow your own accounts. There is a way and Its possible, just depends what service you could offer the instagram account/ person. But your doing well bro, keep going. #KEEPTHOSESTATSGREEN
PSPS - Dnt forget the other social platforms. Tik-tok is blowing, so now is a gd time to get some accounts brewing over there.
Oh this does not work like that my friend. Owners of accounts should publish fresh posts everyday to their accounts, because people get bored quickly, if they publish same post over and over again. So if you work with meme accounts, they could post pretty general quizes, but if you work with dog account, you should publish 1 dog quiz everyday to deliver them fresh content.
You are very limited by using a format of quiz, but you can make a simple post about certain topis to your site as well. Simple put <!---nextpage---> between sentences of your article to separate your content to more pages. That increases CTR/page visits.
Thought this might be the case, i'll either have to have meme pages on board or put this on the back burner until I have a big arsenal of quizzes. Thanks
The two shoutouts I mentioned on the previous page ended up going up on the same day, the site got over 800 concurrent users at one point with the site holding up fine with a small drop in speed. One of the shoutouts was on a page with 86k followers (7k average likes) for $12, the other shoutout was on a page with 294k followers (20k average likes) for $55.
The results from the shoutouts are below:
Total profit of $85.76 on the shoutouts which is obviously super nice. The first shoutout underperformed in my opinion, for a page with 86k followers with good engagement it only bought in 1.6k users. This could either be due to the page or the niche as this is the first time running a shoutout in this niche. The second shoutout went much much better bringing in the rest of the visitors (this is also a first time niche), this could be due to the niche having a younger female audience which I feel are more likely to take a quiz. In the future i want to test running a personality quiz with the second niche (the page with 294k followers).
Expenses (Feb): £148.11 ($190.82)
Revenue (Feb): $484.75 (£376.42)
Profit (Feb): $293.93
I do, PM me.
Thanks! I did some stuff with tiktok before but It was hard to build an account around quizzes. I don't really want to have seperate accounts in different niches.
Just noticed your topic. Really interesting to read. It's a shame i can't see the website, because i always love to see those things, but i understand ;-)
Your almost there so keep on grinding! Can't wait for the succesfull moment!
Any thoughts on hooligan media? What is the minimum earnings to withdraw and when do they release the payment? Is it 30 days or 60?
Thanks! I'd be happy to share the site to a few people eventually.
$100 and NET 60.
