My Journey to $5/day

You should atleast incorporate some other sources of traffic instead of SEO

Have a look into namecheap the next time you plan something like this.. I'm having good experience with them and they offer whoise guard as well to your domain.

+1 for this. namecheap has been excellent so far with me. And I would not choose the same company for hosting and domain registration. At least that is what I found out when doing my research.

to be honest, if your goal is to make money thru adsense i would not have wasted that kinda cash starting up. You could've easily gotten a free subdomain from blogspot (free hosting), create some content, stick some adsense on it and presto. That's what i did for about a year. You can buy a custom domain now but nothing beats free hosting when you're starting up

Keep it up, I find this journey interesting. Please keep the updates coming.

TBH I found your journey extremely strange. For a target of $5/day, you are spending hundreds of dollars. The ROI will be way too lower IMO, unless your future earnings beat your target by a big big margin. Just my 2 cents.
I am trying to surpass it, I'm hoping for at least $20 a day. The site is brand new and the niche is competitive so I'd be alright making $5 a day. Most of the money was spent on content. Also this isn't "churn n burn" I'm trying to start up a long term website that I can rely on, but yes you are right it does seem extremely strange.

Starting to feel like a failure, it seems like every website I start turns out to be a complete failure. So far I've probably only made $20 from this site in 3 months even though I've probably spent close to $500 on it. I'm not sure but I think I'm doing something wrong, I'm going to have to work much harder if I intend on reaching my goal.

Success!!!!

I have finally reached my goal of $5 a day on this one site, I've already scaled up my operation and hope to make more. Thanks to all who supported me on this awfully long journey to $5 a day.

You can't get down on yourself too hard, put value into what you're learning not just what you're earning. Keep working hard!

Nice to see you reach your goal.
Do you do anything else SEO-wise beside putting up new content?
