The difference between my journey and everyone else's instagram journey on here, this one is actually going to work. :D

So i'm 16, i've been working with building instagram accounts since I was 14. The biggest account I've owned was a 250k, it was an account about pranks, the first of its kind. I built that account using $2,000 I had saved up from previous instagram business. The account was built for me in 2 weeks, from 0 to 250k in two weeks, for $2,000. I made this money back easy selling shoutouts. Long story short, the account ended up being banned. But I made a lot of money, so it was fine. Only problem was, I didn't have any of the money I made. I was 14, making thousands per month, I spent the money as soon as it entered my PayPal account lol. But anyways, the journey:

As of now,
16,100 followers, 650 likes a pic

What I've done so far:
  1. Brought back one of my old accounts from the dead, the account is over 1 year old. I had 5,000 followers.
  2. Gained 11,000 followers manually following/unfollowing

The Plan:
The goal of course it to make money. I plan to have giveaways on my website and I will be using content lockers (cpa) to generate income. The current plan is to send my followers to my website for a giveaway and convince them to fill out the survey, unlocking the giveaway. I will not be putting any link in my bio, I don't want any chance of me losing the account. I will be watermarking my website link into the giveaway pictures and just letting them type it in themselves. The goal mid way through 2016 is to have my main account at 100k and a second account (that I will be starting in January) at 30,000ish. I'm planning on doing about 3 giveaways per month, once I hit 50k. Hoping to generate $500 to $1000 monthly. Same thing for the 30k I will be building, once that account reaches 30k, I will be starting giveaways.
That's the plan at the moment, feel free to comment and let me know what you think.

Follow my journey! I know a lot of people on BHW give up on their instagram journey but I've built accounts in the past, I know what I'm doing. This will be a success.

Good luck man. Don't go crazy spending your earnings like last time!

Hope you repeat the success, it'll just be harder than the first time. A lot harder.
Anyways, how do you bring IG account back from dead?

I have one (had), about 1k followers that was banned a few months ago.
Should I just e-mail IG along with moaning?

Is anyone interested in this thread? I'm not going to keep updating for no one.. :eek:uch:

haha, I'm sure there are. Just keep updating your thread.

If you're going to do content locking, try to make one yourself. From my experience, I've never had any good results using ones that come from cpalead or the like. Again, that's just based on my experience when it comes to promoting things on IG.

Good luck with your plan. Your current amount of followers looks great!

I had the account just sitting un-used for over a year. It was originally 10k and it slowly dropped to 5k because I didn't use it. And I don't know if instagram gives accounts back after being banned, but it's worth a shot! If not, you can gain back to 1k easy.

A little bit confused here: why would you unfollow someone when you want to gain followers? Also what are content lockers and how do they work?
I follow 2000 people and then unfollow, I usually gain around 1k followers. When I unfollow, I never noticed anyone unfollowing. I've been using the follow/unfollow to gain me 10k+ followers so far. I think it helps that I post original, high quality content.
As for content lockers, I'm fairly new to this method but basically I get money ($1-2) for each person that fills out the requirements to unlock my content. I am signed up for CPAgrip at the moment.

How exactly can I create one myself? That would be very helpful.

Interested. What do you plan on giving away? Something niche related I'm assuming? Or generic stuff like gift cards etc.?

That's true but I thought you were the one of those that got unbanned.
Forgot I read how you left it for quite a while & got back to it... My mistake.
Good luck, buddy! :)

UPDATE

22,700 Followers (+6200)

I purchased 5000 followers to make my account look bigger. I initially was never going to buy fake followers but after seeing that 90% of the bigger accounts in my niche had done it, I figure it won't hurt. I was at 16.5k getting 700 likes and other accounts in my niche were getting that many likes and they were around 25k followers or higher. So now im at 22k getting 700 likes a picture.

I have also decided I will be investing money in shoutouts as much as I can to build this account faster. I just purchased shoutouts from a 200k account in my niche, he will be running shoutouts for me throughout the next week. I hope to atleast reach 25k and increase my likes to just under 1000 per picture from this shoutout. I don't know how often I will be buying shoutouts, maybe once a week or something. I want to build this account as fast as possible and start making money from it.

Stay tuned.

UPDATE

24,500 followers (+1800)

I decided not to buy shoutouts simply because their too expensive lol. I have been working at a slower pace the last week, gaining just 150-200 followers a day. But I'm starting to pick up the pace again.

I've been creating pictures for my account for the last few days also, I used to just repost other people's pictures with my watermark over it but people started getting mad. So I had to learn how to make my own photos, which was pretty easy. I've made about 30 photos so far and that should last me 2-3 weeks.

I'm still following/unfollowing people to grow my account. I gain 1k followers a week minimum when i'm trying. I know it's pretty slow but it will be worth it when the account is making money next year.

My main focus right now is to just keep building the account manually throughout the end of this year. I will hit 40k by the end of this year and should be getting around 2k likes per photo. Like I've said previously, all the bigger accounts in my niche buy followers to attract more customers. The average 100k account in my niche gets 2k likes. The average 300k gets like 5k likes. I know that's pretty bad, but these people are making bank even though their accounts are barley active. So when I hit 40k at the end of this year, I'm going to buy to 60k followers, getting me to 100k. then I will be making money from shoutouts.

I plan to be making at least $1,000 a month from shoutouts, content lockers, and other stuff I have planned for January.

Stay tuned.

How do you go about selling your shoutouts? I have an account with 5k-10k likes per post and the only way I get shoutouts is when people message me. Do you message people and offer them shoutouts or do you go to a thirdparty in order to sell your shoutouts? Also How much should I charge for shoutouts depending on my average likes?

I wanted to ask, if you manually follow/unfollow after you unfollowed everyone when you follow again, how can you be sure to not follow the same people that you unfollowed before? Good luck with your journey!

I keep coming back & reading your updates. Sounds good so far, man. :)

Appreciate it!

I haven't sold any shoutouts yet on this account but my previous 250k account I did. People would message me everyday about buying shoutouts. On the 25k I have now, not one person has messaged me yet about buying shoutouts. Hopefully when I'm at 100k, people will be buying daily. And being that my account is still pretty small, I have had big accounts in my niche message me with a list of their prices randomly. So you could try it. I'd say the best way to do it would be to message accounts that previously bought shoutouts from other accounts in your niche. And to find out how much you should charge per shoutout, just message people in your niche and asking them for their shoutout pricing. Look for accounts similar to yours, and then compare their prices and make your price.

I wanted to ask, if you manually follow/unfollow after you unfollowed everyone when you follow again, how can you be sure to not follow the same people that you unfollowed before? Good luck with your journey!

I have an garbage account on instagram that is following 15 people in my similar niche, these are the accounts I get my followers from. As soon as they post, I follow the likers and commenters along with liking pictures. After I follow 4000 people, I unfollow them. And the account that is following 15 people in my similar niche, I just simply change the 15 people I'm following to a new 15 people in my niche. Then I start again and I'm following all new people.
