    Hey,

Last week I started looking into building Shopify apps and they looked really simple to build.

I have this week off work so I'm going to use it to start a Shopify app business.

I've started building my first app and it should be finished in the next few days.

There's only one other app that is like the one i'm building and it's really popular (800+ reviews) so i'm going to undercut it by a few $.

Does anyone have any ideas for apps they would like added to the app store or apps that are already on there but are too expensive?

There are a lot of apps that serve an great idea, but not functioning as advertised.

Just build something that works, just do it better.

I guess it would be better to find apps with shit reviews and make them better than it would be to remake popular apps.

That would be a good idea, why get into competition with something that’s well established when you can easily bypass easy competition

Keep doing good listings of product in shopify. its a next big thing .Good marketers see consumers as complete human beings with all the dimensions real people have. (by Jonah Sachs) . all the best.

So I think the best app to build is an app that have an all-in-one package, so i will have one app that handle all the extra stuff that i want to add to the product page:
    - countdown timer
    - sticky add to cart
    - sales notification
    - product tabs
    - trust badges
    - upsells

If you put that in an app that costs 24$-49$ /month with a trial period of 14 days + use extensive fb ads to promote it then you have a 2000$ / month ez

I am doing the same stuff in the next month just busy building a shopify store right now!

That's a good idea. They all look pretty simple to build so I don't think it would take too long to build.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

Building the app is easy. You can hire someone or diy and it s done the hard part is promoting it.
If you rely on the shopify app store search bar you won t get anywhere.

Best of luck for your journey. Which language you choose for the app, Ruby I mean ROR? I see, they offer API for any language but only ROR has a good resource.

I haven't made the all in one app but I made another app, I'm just waiting for Shopify to review it.

    do this ,

dont try to re invent somethink that not broke ,
best to re program the shit and there loads out there ,

but saying that can still be part of a very popular theme , somethink that just slips in with it , plugin sell well.

which PaaS are you going to use? Good luck waiting for the review. For me it needed 3-4 weeks and then they complained about stupid things and i had to wait for the next review again and so on. you will see :D

I'd say a simple app like push-ups counter helped me a lot and has the simplest interface & codes running behind. Sort a list of such relative ideas, maybe.
