    Hello everyone!

I am creating this thread in the hope of giving me motivation and allowing me to track my progress.

Around 4 months ago I decided to create my first website ever, I spent quite a while reading threads on here and I felt that I was ready to make my website. I decided on creating a website based on reviewing amazon products. So far I have put around 400 dollars into this website. I am at a point where I am not able to put in any money right now, so I am waiting for my SEO to hopefully kick in soon (I know this takes a while especially with a new website.)

So basically so far I have a couple of posts and I have done two SEO packages. I did keyword research before I started and also have purchased a logo. When I get more $ I will put many more articles on the website. I want to see how the SEO packages will do for my articles, after that I will look into doing more SEO and getting more articles.

This is all just a noobie journey, I'm hoping that I will be able to make a profit eventually, and if not I have learned a lot already, and I know I will end up learning more.

I would love for any feedback, tips, or help. They are all appreciated. I will keep you guys updated when new things happen. Thank you for reading.

    Good luck with this!
My two cents: I have never bought any SEO products, and I managed to get on the first page for a lot of keywords only by putting in fresh content in the blog's niche

Good luck, I hope you exceed your goals, I am in a similar place. Quick question, what is the KD/monthly searches you are targeting? I have spent $1000 on content and SEO on a new venture and hoping my target KW's are not out of my league so it would be good to get a view of others.

So far all of my keywords have been between 2000-10000 monthly searches. I do not have very many articles yet, but I felt like that was a good place to start and see how it goes.

As of right now they are ranging from 5-150 dollars, it really depends on the product.

few tips: page speed is important, make your meta descriptions actionable (while being SEO friendly), target keywords/phrases to the front of all meta, don't forget alt tags on images....

page speed can take you a long way, at least from my experience.

Yes Qyshi, I only write new content on the blog and the only SEO I do is the one that SEO Yoast plugin recommends.

I'm on a similar journey. As a newbie who's not cashing in a lot yet myself I try not to spend too much money on things I can do myself, like writing the content (I'm a perfectionist when it comes to the content, so I like to write it myself anyway), creating a logo, etc. Linkbuilding is the only thing I outsource as it is so time-consuming to do myself (build PBNs and web 2.0s).

And some feedback: If you're looking to start getting some sales while you're just waiting for the SEO to work, try writing a lot of the individual product reviews with long-tail keywords in the title. Those are often less competitive. If you write 20-30 reviews yourself you can maybe get a few to rank on spot #5-10 for the product titles themselves with no links built to them, and those reviews can each bring you 10-50 visits each month after a while. There's a theory that a new website is "sandboxed" in the beginning until it gets social signals or links or traffic, and that initial traffic from long tail keywords could help to give your site a little bit of authority which helps your overall SEO efforts. Just my thoughts.

    Good luck to you!
