Hello! So I saw that some people on this forum seem to doubt that there is real money to be made on Shopify with dropshipping. I'm just starting this thread to hopefully inspire some of you. I started this online store on February 18th, so it's been 4 full days now. This is my first experience with Shopify & dropshipping, however I've read countless stories about it in the past. I also study business in University and I know quite a lot about online marketing. I do not run Facebook ads yet. The entire sales you see down here were generated from shoutouts on multiple social platforms. I'm really trying to build a brand first and get some people to know the name of the brand on the platforms. The picture below is for the first 4 days of the store. My Mistakes (so Far) : I made the huge mistake of not testing my shop completely. I'm from Canada, and my Shopify is in CAD. Therefore, the prices on my store were shown in Canadian dollars. Thing is, with the current exchange rate, my prices in CAD are around 30% higher than what they would be in USD... but Shopify would show the CAD price to US visitors. Long story short, my products looked overpriced by 30%. I got this plugin where the prices adjust automatically with the IP of the visitors only two hours ago, and I've already seen a huge spike in sales. That might explain my terrible conversion rate so far. Not getting my credit card verified on Aliexpress first. My orders are basically all going to be 3 days late (atleast the very first ones), adding to the huge shipping times... Ouch. Feel free to follow & ask me questions. I'm not gonna share my niche, however. I know my goal is crazy, by the way. But this is not the only business I operate. I have other businesses that are already giving me a good paycheck, which means I can reinject all of the profits into advertising, branding and whatnot, so I can grow this brand faster & hopefully make this store a long-term thing.
