I've already kind of started my journey but now I wanted to document it for my sake and hopefully to inspire others to get up and take action as well.

I started browsing BHW some time ago and kept reading methods and researching what it took but never took action. Finally one day I decided that I would set a very realistic goal of making $1/day and create a general NSFW Tumblr blog and start building up followers. Well to my surprise I was at 5,000 followers in less than a month. I didn't do any mass liking or following. Still to this day I think I have only followed 50 people and liked less than 500 people and my following has grown to just over 10,000 now.

So basically I'm using a self hosted website with a wordpress theme set up for image gallery, a single tumblr account, plugrush, and trying out a couple cam affiliate links as well.

Since I have had the plugrush set up my earnings have been as follows:
day 1 - $0
day 2 - $0
day 3 - $0.11
day 4 - $0.30
day 5 - $0.60
day 6 - $1.15 -- yesterday

The past 3 days or so I have done nothing except que enough watermarked photos to last 2 weeks in which time I will refill it. Now I play to build on this and create a new tumblr blog and scale this up. My next goal is going to be $5/day.

You just have to read my thread to know what I did. But to spoon feed it to you, I made a tumblr, I made a self hosted site, I put ads on my site, I redirected all my tumblr traffic to my site.
 
So you built up 5,000 followers in about 3 weeks? How long did it take you to reach 10k? How many new followers do you avg. daily? Are you using Google Analytics to chart traffic? I'm about to make some moves on Tumblr myself and appreciate any insights you can share. Thanks.

It didn't take much longer to get to 10k followers. I've been averaging 500+ followers a day with close to 10k notes per day. I have been using analytics but I think I need to go back and figure out what is going on with it. My control panel stats for the website and analytics aren't even close.

I'm not the most fluent person when it comes to working wordpress and my site is nothing really to brag about as I'm still building it, but if I can manage $1+/day there is no reason that anyone else couldn't do this method. Best advice I got from anyone was "just go build the fking site already". I'm also not that familiar with plugrush or other ad sites so all this is a work in progress.

My goal for this week is to scrape a whole new set of pics for a more focused nsfw type blog and get that rolling by friday.
 
That is awesome man. So no ads on tumblr, just pics. And all ads are you your plugrush money site. Can you tell us how you drive your tumblr traffic to your money site? Watermarks or posting the links of the nsfw pics on your money site to your tumblr blog? I can't help but wonder because that last time I did that, my tumblr got banned.

I have no ads on my tumblr at all, all my ads are on the hosted site. I'm keeping the spamming to a minimum of 5 posts per day that are watermarked with my websites name on it. That post also has click through and a description with a link. There are other pictures being posted that are not advertising at all.

From everything I have read it is possible that my tumblr could get banned but at the same time keeping it low key like I am minimizes the risk of that. Hopefully if/when it does happen I'll have more than 5 other blogs working that will still be working for me.

One question I have for you guys, what watermarking software would you guys suggest to automate this... Right now I'm using photoshop and doing it manually. It's taking me roughly 1 minute or less per picture but if I could cut that down I would be much happier.
 
I am using Easy Watermark Studio Pro. it so fast and really easy. You can try it

I'm not sure if this is the best free software but I'm using Fast Stone Image Viewer. You can watermark images in a batch and it's free.

So just to clarify, your tumblr pictures have a) watermarks and has a clickthrough meaning when I click on it, I'll be directed on your money site right?

I'm doing one with just watermarks and without clickthrough because I don't have any way yet of quickly making another blog again if the one with clickthrough gets banned ha ha!
 
Yes I have a que of tumblr pics that post 5 times per day that all have watermark and clickthrough. I also have other posts via IFTTT that keep the blog full and not looking like total spam. I think this will reduce the chances of getting it banned.

I'm thinking about putting a text link in the description of all my posts but am waiting until I get a second blog with a decent following just in case one gets banned.

Posting 5x a day? You need to bump that up to 50 per day its way too slow to be honest
 
I'm only posting 5 watermarked images per day. I have other posts going into that account and it seems to be growing at a steady rate. The posts from IFTTT now all have a link in the description but no click through. Hopefully this does not send my blog into ban land.
 
I wanted to do a quick update to this thread. I haven't been around as much as I would have liked to be with school and work.

I have started to build up my second blog but it doesn't seem to be gaining speed as fast as my first one did. I'm using a lot of the same techniques to build followers as I did my first one. I'm only getting around 100 new followers per day.

My first blog is still going strong doing between 400-600 followers per day and I'm using that one to cross promote my second blog.

As far as earnings go I've been steadily doing $2+/day and the past couple days I've been just shy of hitting $4. I'm still learning the ins and outs of plugrush and I really doubt I'm using it to its maximum capacity so that is my goal for the next couple days. Research plugrush and how to really optimize any bit of it as I can.

Again for anyone following this wondering if you can make money from it the answer is definitely yes, you just need to go out and take action!
 
How are you watermarking the images.
Do you have a program (If so could you link me) or is it done by hand?
