I have been publishing my journey in the BHW forum since 2019. And every time I reach a milestone, I write about it. Whenever I feel depressed or don’t get results, I like to come back and read my journey threads. This is like a diary for me. And I’ll keep writing these threads as long as I am in the media-buying space.
Just wanted to give a small update. As you guys know, I started doing search arbitrage (on native) a few months back. And last month I was able to scale this to $27,000 mark.
These are just the search arbitrage earnings. This doesn’t include my push ads earnings. My push campaigns are still profitable but I am not able to devote a lot of time to my push campaigns.
I work alone and currently, in life, I am just trying to juggle between vacation and work. I have been taking too many vacations lately and I do feel guilty about it. But irrespective of that, I won’t stop traveling. Traveling is something that makes me happy. Even if i could make only $10k a month….take care of my family, travel frequently, and have good friends, I'll choose that over making million or billions of dollars. I would always choose freedom over money. But at the same time, money is also important, and I’ll never compromise/settle for anything less than $10k a month.
Also, don’t get overwhelmed by my success, I am only sharing the good moments of my journey. There were countless bad experiences. It took me 1 month to figure out the technical setup of search arbitrage. Had to message tons of people to help me with setup. Many people ignored, some people replied. Had to do a lot of trial and error but eventually made it work. Also, in the last 6 days of October, I don’t know what happened, all my campaigns suddenly tanked. That’s the thing with native ads, it’s hugely unpredictable. And for the first time in the last 2 years (of my life), I felt scared for my livelihood. Also, the fact that I have left my job makes it more scary. There is no room for plan B, I have to make it work, no matter what. But I’ll eventually bounce back. I don’t know how many months or years it takes but I am gonna scale this bitch to $100k/month. Not for the money but for accomplishment. And I don’t want to sound complacent but I know the day I reach this $100k mark, I’ll get bored. Because the start is always difficult and FUN. I am still new to natives and As of today, I still refresh my campaigns 50 times a day. The joy that you get when you make that few extra dollars out of nowhere has no match. Probably all this will fizzle out when i reach the 6-figure mark.
I can talk on and on about my journey, but I’ll pause it here. lol
