Howdy Fellow Hatters of Blackness!
Little Background: Found IM sometime in 2008 (including BHW) , started diggin' into it and got hooked with a serious passion. Took action in 2009 and tried every shiny object I found with visions of Grandeur and riches right around the corner. I even intend to show you some of the wake I left in my path on the internet as I still have all those sites out there trickling in cash. Not really worried about them as they aren't part of my new vision. Therefore, if you can learn anything from them, steal my content, or hack an account here or there. Welp, I'll get over it pretty quickly as I really don't care! K?
Here we go:
Article Marketing was all the rage and I quickly started studying Sean Mize who was the king of ezinearticles by leaps and bounds. Started building free web 2.0's using blogger, squidoo, and a few other free blogs. Became an expert author in no time publishing 2 to 5 articles per day under my pen name which was a smoking hot chic I made up. To this day, I think that fake profile photo I stole off of an adult site and cropped, gets more views than the articles, lol!
Next, I ran into Travis Sago that was the creator of Bum marketing, tried his stuff, and he quickly led me to PotPieGirl. I quickly got a copy of her one week marketing program and that set me off on my squidoo rampage. Built about a 100 lenses and those are still out there pulling traffic and cash to this day.
That somehow led me to the whole list building thing. I spent a couple weeks learning how to create an e-book, purchased a-weber, another week trying to figure out how to make a squeeze page, and another week trying to hook it all together. Got it live, and yes, you guessed it, couldn't get it ranked and a month later moved on. Still out there live though!
Last, caught the rental site bug and built a few. Got them up and ranked pretty well, tried to rent them out, didn't follow through and that's when I threw my hands in the air and hung up my IM cape.
Truth of the matter was I went so hard at it, I burned out. It's taken me almost a year of sitting in the wings (but still studying) to decide to have another go! Biggest reason is if I showed you all of the sites I have commissions sitting in that I never met thresh holds to cash out, (to the tune of thousands of dollars) it would make you sick! I still am!
Moving Forward: My strategy will be MNS sites promoting amazon, clickbank, and CPA offers. After getting the sites up and running, I'm toying with the idea of trying to capture emails on these sites for list-building and email marketing.
I will be using the profits instruments course (its here if you want it) as the foundation of my build-out on the sites. I'm using that program because it's a complete and replicatable system. I sincerely think that's what is missing when most newbies get started. A system versus a hair-brained idea. I'm not sure that I will use that courses keyword research strategy though.
As of today, I have spent the last week finding all of my old logins for sites, accounts, etc. Downloaded the profit instruments course, reviewed it again, and I feel as if I am ready to get the ball rolling.
So, that was a ton and I apologize but want you to know that I have 0 web skills and I'm flying by the seat of my pants just like a lot of you. I will be learning everything as I go as I have forgotten all of my actual web-building skills and how to do just about everything.
So, I'm off to do my first keyword research and get the ball rolling! Wish me luck!
