    Hi,

    I host my sites with:
    Code:
    http://www.Dollar2Host.com
A so called friend recommended it but it sucks big time.

I've got a forum which has been going down every 2 days now and I email them and chat with them and they just fix the problem temporarily.
I tell them the site keeps going down but they just fix it for the moment and don't bother fixing it for the long term.

I've got a reseller account with them and I paid for 12 months up front $240.00 but their money back guarantee is only valid for 30 days and it has now been 2 months and 2 weeks since I started hosting with them.

I tell them about my forum being down and they tell me they have the right to disable any account if it puts risk on their servers. They tell me my forum is putting too much preassure on their servers. 13,000 uniques a month is what the forum gets.

I used to host the same forum on another host but never faced any problems ever. So this host must have really shitty servers.

So how do you go about getting your money back if a host screws you and doesn't deliver? Can I report them to some organization online?

Also suggestions on other low cost but fast loading and stable hosts are welcome, going to leave these idiots since it's costing me money.

It seems that you won't get your money back.
    Maybe Jixhost.com?

13k uniques a month shouldn't do anything to the servers.

    Yeah thats what I thought.
Thing is I got a reseller acount with them, but in the past I had the same forum hosted on a shared hosting account as a addon domain and it never went down.

So it must be their shitty servers, they suck.

Seems cheap google PR is low which is like warning sign to me now, since my current host has a low google PR too. I'm looking into DimeHost right now.

I'll pay on amonthly basis when I do find a good host.
Just need one that will transfer all my sites quickly for me to my new account.

Just had a live chat with JixHost and it seems they need something called "Root Acess" to transfer the sites, I have no idea what that is, all I know is that I got access to WHM. I'm not a techie when it comes to servers.

They can do WHM to WHM transfer, WHM should be enough.

The guy I chatted to on JixHost told me I needed root access and only VPS and dedicated servers had root access.

He said the other way to move sites would be the following steps:
    Code:
    - login to cPanel
    - click backups
    - click 'Home Directory' under Partial Backups
    - choose a location on your computer to save the file
    - select any/all databases - save those to your computer
    - select any/all email filters - save those to your computer
    - select any/all email forwards - save those to your computer
    - once complete
    - login to cPanel on new host
    - click backups
    - under Partial Backups
    - where 'Restore a Home Directory Backup'
    - browse for downloaded home directory
    - press upload
    - where 'Restore a MySQL Database'
    - browse for downloaded databases (ea. must be uploaded individually)
    - press upload
    - where 'Restore an Email Forwarders/Filters Backup'
    - browse for downloaded e-mail files (ea. must be uploaded individually)

Seems like lots of work, I got around 50 accounts on WHM of which 20 or so are active with content.

On the other hand when I chatted to DimeHost they didn't even ask if I had root access.

    So I'm kinda confused now.

Indeed, only VPS and dedi server have root access. WHM is not root access, reseller account can be under master reseller account.
Basically, the main procedure is making backup via CPanel as stated above, then copying all backuped data (script/images,etc and databases) to a new place. It doesnt have to be downloaded to local PC, just do copying server to server. 50 accounts are many, though. It takes time.

Thanks for all the support, just to let you know I went ahead and signed up for a reseller account at HostDime they have high google PR and I chatted for 40 minutes with support and they were very helpful indeed, more like a friend. My other hosts support is more like talking to a robot. :bsflag:

Simply call your credit card company and do a charge-back.

Just remember to backup all your hosting info, and move it to a new host (and dont forget the domain too) first.
