i think posts you have seen, was changed/modified (posted date) or the tool you are using to check PR is telling you wrong. try to use another some of tools or the post is modified for sure. any page/site can't have PR after the last update 2013.
    thanks

That PR could be fake or did you check the age of these website?, might someone has picked an expired domain that had PR on internal pages and recreated the site using waybackmachine or may be these blogs are owned by matt cutts :D

You can easily edit the date of a post. It might've been posted in 2013, but the date edited to 2014.

I have noticed it before and I was really confused with it, when in 2014 you see some shady looking pages with PR... no idea how they do it... the only explanation I can come up with if they are using expired domain which had PR for some internal pages and they re-create those pages (but with different content) and thus those internal pages have old PR.

okay okay, I think some here know about shoutmeloud, it's not owned by Matt, you can easy check the date of any post creation because this blog online 7 years ago and owned by one person, never sold or expired, and they have PR for some new posts, so .. ?????

    Any one can explain?
