Before i get in to the details of my roller coaster ride of a journey, ill start by saying that i had an aged paypal that had traded close to 30k in transactions. I also had a linked ebay that had 100+ feedback. Around a month before christmas 2015 I started to source products on alibaba, first i was going for smart watches and then i realized the few dollars id make per sale was not enough and i couldn't even afford the dollar ebay wanted for a 24 hour listing. This is the only way it would have been worth it as i could have made many small profits. I turned my attention to hover boards and its no secret that they were a hot commodity. Unfortunately to this date they are stricter with importing them to the states and also ebay wants specific papers for all hover boards being sold on their site. I am no longer doing the hover boards although i closed 20 sales in 48 hours when i did. I found a really nice chick in shenzhen who was doing my drop shipping for the first 7 units. All of which were delivered and I was very happy with this. I successfully drop shipped my first 7 items, from day 1. I had no problem with paypal releasing my funds. I transferred the money right of of my paypal and into my drop shippers paypal. This was an amateur mistake, i learned my lesson the hard way. I had my account frozen and when my day 2 sales were closed, i had intermittently called paypal to release funds that were being put on hold. They budged and i was able to redeem the funds for the 13 units from day 2 sales. My initial supplier who i should have stuck with, raised her prices on my about 15 dollars. This was digging too much in to my profits and i moved to a a cheaper source. This was the stupidest decision and i really hope that i can seek revenge for what happened. The second supplier ended up taking way too long to ship my items. I believe that they shipped by sea and then connected to fedex when the packages were received domestically. For 3.5 weeks i had ebay buyers on my case extremely worried. I had some remorse although i was glad it was still the middle of October not christmas time. It really goes to show how easy it is to be screwed over and i learned the hard way. The supplier ended up very lucky that this was me. I actually had to issue refunds and put my paypal in negative. I had to last minute have the items re routed to my personal address and the only reason this **** wanted to help is because they realized that my email to request drop shipping wasn't the same as my paypal address and any delivered hover boards that didn't get sent to my personal address would have been refunded to me. 4 were delivered and after all i was put through i should have told paypal i didn't request the alternate addresses. I was honest though, and had told paypal that i was not needing to be refunded for the 4 that were not delivered to my address. 9 BOARDS WERE RE ROUTED TO ME and i was responsible to sell them person to person so that I could pay off this new found debt to paypal/ebay. The longer i have to think about it i realize how messed up what really happened was and i want to save people from going through what i went through. Bottom line is you need to have shipping stipulations and time frames in the invoice so when they are not met you have retribution. Now i am working hard to nurture a new ebay account and i have an old paypal that can't be linked to the banned one. It would really be nice to be unbanned from my original paypal. It makes me so unsettled to think that the second supplier didn't even get into trouble. Only me the "bad" drop shipper. I really hope that my success isn't altered by this manifestation of bad calls on my part. I am making strides and sourcing more products wisely in some enticing niches. I hope to do everything right this time and keep y'all posted along the way.
