    Hi guys,

So here's my situation. I'm 25. I have a startup. And I need to make money bad. I'm not looking for fancy cars, big houses and "the life", but I do want to be able to take care of my aging parents and not worry so much about money. For the last 2 years I've been able to live by stock trading... but after lending family money and having a business partner leave me high and dry with 10k worth of expenses my bank account is almost empty.

This is how I ended up on black hat forums. I realized that because of penguin there was a deep need for Article Writing Content and I could provide it. I'm starting from scratch using fiverr as a stepping stone and will document my journey from near 0 all the way to 50k. I hope my story can help others who are starting all over, have big dreams and are willing to shed blood, sweat, and tears.

    Current Goal: Break $1,000

I've been working with fiverr for 4 weeks now and have have made $416. I've invested $80 back into my gigs and am hoping for level 2 so I can increase my income to $100/day. I'm currently between $24-32/day.

    What's Next

    • Continue to maintain 100% feed back and reputation with fiverr
    • Use reputation to gain more customers outside of fiverr

Any comments, tips, or suggestions on how to improve are welcomed.

    Thanks for reading

Nice.. you started of pretty well. My advice to you is to try, and make your customers loyal customers, and link them to a website.

Fiverr is a good start but it should only be seen as lead generation for bigger contracts.

Make sure with your delivered gig you supply a text folder with an offer and a direct email and a strong call to action to contact you to discuss discounts, but really to discuss upsells.

    Good luck

You seem to have a solid plan, but please take action NOW!

I mean, if everybody would have to collect $50k to have a startup, there wouldn't be that many around the world!

Startups are all about taking action. When you hit $1k just start making prototypes of your product and sending them to the market to see if it fits, start juggling around and making your own network.

If your idea is good, then huge investments will come, if not, then move along, you'll have plenty more ideas and you won't have lost those $50k in that.

    Anyway, good luck :)

Writers, I mean GOOD writers that do fast quality work are worth their weight in gold. You should take that startup cash and invest in a BST here. Instead of $4 per article you can charge say $6 per 500 word article and improve your profit by 50%. That is assuming you are writing 500 words...

Fiverr is a good place to start; however, if you want to increase your sales, you need to go where the big boys are.

I'd recommend starting a BST on this forum, and doing a good job to keep customers happy.

It is not uncommon to generate $10,000+ within 1-2 months on this forum.

    Hi guys,

Thanks so much for all of your advice and tips. I never even considered the idea of serving clients right here in BHW. You guys seem to understand exactly where I'm coming from. And I am beyond stoked that some of the members here have even offered to help me by using my skills for their teams. I honestly have never received such a warm welcome from a internet forum before.

From everyones advice 2 things are very clear to me.

    1. It's to my greatest advantage to prove my skills right here on BHW and join a team of one of the veterans here & focus less on fiverr.

    2. I should focus all of my fiverr efforts on convincing my fiverr customers to become my customer outside of fiverr.

It's also clear to me that I should find a way to monetize my web development skills too. I'm quite good but have only focused my skills on building code for my own projects and open source projects with friends. Fiverr doesn't seem to be the place to offer "big" gigs like full web development so starting this one off will be a bit tricky.

    Current Goal: Break $1,000

I've continued working hard on fiverr and my Copywriting Gig has increased my stake from $416 to $480. I should break $500 USD soon and will be half way there to my first goal of $1,000 usd. I commissioned a new gig today using my copywriting skills to give it a high impact headline. The results: 3 sales within the first few hours. I'm especially happy about it because it only involves Transcribing Audio To Text and fits very well with the themes of my other writing gigs.

P.S. I received my first Tip Today from a copywriting customer who was thrilled my work. This customer purchased my $10 dollar gig extra and with his Tip it brought the total sale amount to $20 usd.

    What's Next

    • Focus Only On Fiverr Gigs that make it easy to convert customers to 'main' customers (e.g. Copywriting gig, Transcription Gig)
    • Join a Content Creation team on BHW
    • Transfer all applicable fiverr gigs to BHW

I'll spend 90% of my time trying to scale my micro-freelance business outside of just fiverr after everyones advice. This will greatly increase my income but more importantly increase my cashflow, as being paid in drips every 17 days from fiverr makes life somewhat difficult.

Once I hit my goal of $1,000 USD I'll reinvest 40% back into improving my setup. My wishlist is below.

    1. Adobe Fireworks (I currently use multiple free trials)
    2. Extra Ram for my Macbook Pro (Mine is used and slow)
    3. A Good Microphone for making screencasts. (I just purchased keynote)
    4. Dragon Naturally Speaking Software (Should make rough draft creation much faster)

Any comments, tips, or suggestions are welcomed,

    Thanks for reading!

From the way you write your posts , your articles should be of a high quality .
Well , not because I am moved by your story , but just because you took action and if you can post in here screenshots of your earning on Fiverr , I will , with permission of mods , open a BST thread for your service and pay for it ( you need a 100 posts to start selling in here).
You will keep 100% of the profit , you take care of customer services , and of course you deliver what they will pay for .
If you are interested , we will talk to a mod .
    Cheers

They say "necesity is the mother of all invention", you have a neccesity for income, so go invent...

According to me, you are on the right path to success, coz BHW tends to give u that confidence.

    My 2 cent:
    1. Do not settle for fiverr income, try getting into oDesk, vWorker etc.
    2. Try converting ur customers into longterm & loyal assets of ur startup.
    3. Expand ur setup into MNS and Authority sites as the main requirement for them are quality articles, which u can churn out easily.

All the best for ur venture.

There might be a Download link for Dragon Naturally Speaking.

Just search the download section of this forum.

I would recommend that you purchase a domain, have a simple 3-4 page html site developed and offer your services through it also.
I can help you to choose a nice domain name for your writing service if you want.
