My friend got scammed 500$ worth of work by this guy, he was writing articles for him and when he came to pay him nothing ever came in. What can he do to make use of those articles ? are they useless now since google already ranked them ? Anything legal he can do or is it not worth it ?

Why did he give all those articles away in one shot.

Should have done it in increments.

    You can:

Get drunk and forget about it.
Wait another month and see if one of the "monthy payments" comes in (???)
Change the links to go to a crappy related clickbank product and make some $$$

The latter is the most productive and if no sales come, perhaps the work was not worth paying for in the first place.

We've al seen some pretty crappy articles, like this one on Fishing Rods.

"A fishing rod is a long rod with which you fish. The fish get caught when you put a fishing hook on the fishing line attached to the with the long fishing rod when you are fishing..."

hmm if youre friend wrote the, file the at several of the documents at plagiarism sites like doccop, copyscape etc. Then make them into spam articles, maybe someone here will post them to directories for you. spend a few hours doing that and making landing pages with relevant affiliates and voila, competition and if you do get more sites submitted than he has, you'll come out on top and steal his business... or you can post the same articles on multiple sites along with _this is a scam_ type messages to kill off his traffic and business.

    whatever works.

if paypal, say he never sent the items, that they were supposed to be sent via registered courier mail w/ tracking number in hardcopy.

Keep selling them to other people so they can rewrite them or something.
