The only way for sure is to contact their support so just wait until your ticket is being processed.

I'm pretty sure they are breaking the law by withholding your funds.
    I would contact a lawyer.

You were paid by clients, they simply act as a medium.

So there shouldn't be any reason for them to withhold the transactions from client to service provider. That money never belonged to them.

I could be wrong, so don't take any of this as any sort of advice, but I think that's how it works...

    Get a lawyer though.

I once stopped looking into freelancer.com, and took a decision that I wont go again there. They are one of the reason why I took the decision to stay away from this world, back then.
On 2012, March I think, I completed a project, around $500, I got the money, did withdrawal like you, but even after the proposed day I need to get the funds in my bank account, I didn't had any intimations from them.
Finally, I checked my account and found nothing. I contacted their support and they told me they reversed the funds because the CC my buyer used to pay me was a stolen one or so or he couldn't verify it , and thats why they did that.
Is that my problem to get all these verified??
I don't know bro whether you will get your money back. Report in ripoffreport.com
You may get it resolved .

I'm sure they aren't allowed to with-hold your money legally..

    Move to elance or odesk.

Is your account activated now? What happened to the funds.

File a complain to Australian government by RTI.

Link to RTI - google RTI Australia.

    Thanks

Yes you can happily kiss goodbye to your money now. Freelancer.com is one of the biggest scamsters and fraudsters operating in the online world. Their way of operations is super shady, they will allow you to post jobs which break their TOS, they will allow providers to work and make money off that job post.

Only when you try to withdraw your payment, they will block your account and fuck you. Shady assholes.

Genuine sites like odesk and elance wont allow to post jobs which break their TOS at first instance and that's how business should be done. You cant loot money of hard working people by hiding against your TOS bullshit.

Spread the word about them as much as possible and don't ever go back to that scam shit site.

I agree with indianbill007 , stay away in the future from FreeLancer.com . They do shady business. I don't use them anymore since 2011. Go for oDesk or eLance. Elance.com is top for quality job,oDesk is good too and cheaper.

Try to contact them by phone and tell them that they don't have the right to hold your money.
