Have you ever experienced the stomach-churning feeling of leaving a 8-5 job and venturing the unknown world--in my case, yes--of freelancing? I did just that, and, oh boy, it is indeed nerve-wracking. I want to be a freelance writer and just started to be like one, approximately 8 days ago in Fiverr. I set up my account/profile, created some gigs I know I am capable of doing, and, the most difficult phase, waiting for someone to notice/order one of my gigs. Fiverr is overly saturated with sellers, particularly, content writers like me. But it will not hurt to try, right? I just set my expectations low because I don't want to crash and burn. Then, something odd happened. My first order came in August 21. That is exactly 5 days since I joined! Because of too much excitement, I write the article right away and delivered a 24-hour gig in less than 10 hours! I got five-star rating for my first ever order. *happy dance* However, I should not sit back, relax and just wait. I know there is no room for slackers in the freelance world. I still have more to learn on how to promote gigs and such. And, still waiting for another order to come in. Perhaps only at the time luck was on my side. *sigh* I will keep you posted and maybe, just start a blog out of this! Haha! Thanks for reading!
