Thank you!

It's possible, I can't tell. Maybe I'm going to start an English blog in the future.

Haha poetic. I think I got carried away. I'm falling deeply in love with cash.
Your decision to start a blog in your own language was definitely great, looking at the results .

However, if you hesitate to start an English blog just because you are not sure of your language skills, I can assure you there's no need to worry.

Not only is your English excellent, you also have some talent for writing & story telling. One can easily tell that just from reading your updates here :).

Wow, man! Such kind words. I very much appreciate it.

You're really tempting me to look for a niche, maybe evergreen this time and start a new blog in English.

TRAFFIC AND REVENUE UPDATE FOR DECEMBER

I waited for the following payment before writing this update:
View attachment 197471
This is a chunk of affiliate sales that cleared on 28th so it belongs to December revenue, but due to New Years bank payment was delayed and didn't arrive until today.

Adsense reached a new record in December:

EARNINGS BREAKDOWN:

I'll start with the earnings this time, cause I like it better.

Ok, so starting with the payment I received on Dec 17th, plus another $353 from various affiliate programs that I kept in the balance to add up, plus the money I got today, plus Adsense:

1867 + 353 + 912 + 94.17 = $3226.17

Considering the little amount of work I put in December due to getting covid + holidays, this was almost passive income. I feel like it's a huge Christmas gift.

Revenue is decreasing due to the seasonality of the sales, but it's still 6 times bigger than the goal, so I see rainbows everywhere.

I also got $1.5K pending which will clear in January so I'll start this month with a nice cushion of fresh cash that's going to soften the anticipated decrease in revenue.

TRAFFIC BREAKDOWN:

GSC - You can see a decrease in December
View attachment 197474

GA - I got 19K pv last month vs 16K now (the increase on 26th was from fb)
View attachment 197480

In January I'll continue with my latest content strategy: 0 comp keywords and short articles. I'll also add long form articles on higher comp kw from time to time. Another thing to focus on is GSC analysis to improve or extend the current content (haven't done in a while). Also another thing I want to do is more manual interlinking, as I'm sure I missed some opportunities to interlink.

It's been 12 months since this blog started to make money. This time last year my blog made its first monthly revenue totalling 0.6 euros which was via Adsense. I think 2022 is going to be great, I wish you all good luck!

DECEMBER: $3226.17
NOVEMBER: $4487.65

Congrats, don't sell the website just keep working on it. The site has pontential to grow much more

@blogmen - killing it, keep doing what you're doing man. I fell off my journey towards the end of last year but have started again so will be updating again shortly. Both you and @Kikerinka are super inspiring, props to both of you, hard work really does pay off!

UPDATE:

January started with a BANG!

I won't.
but have started again so will be updating again
Keep going with your journey. Quick fact: I only wrote 2 articles the whole month of July (when I was demotivated by low revenue), so it's not always about hard work, you only have to keep trying at your own pace, just don't abandon.

$1,400 for January already, that's insane!

You and a few others on here truly are an inspiration!

@blogmen Great progress man. I too am using Adsense, the page RPM is around $8.

Last month, both mediavine and adthrive rejected my site :(

My site currently has 40% US and a total of 50% from tier 1 countries. The remaining 50% is international traffic.

Any advice, @Kikerinka , @Shaunm

You should definitely try Ezoic. I'm almost sure it'll yield more than $8 RPM with your traffic quality.

Hey mate, you're not doing badly when you already have traffic to apply with both Mediavine and Adthrive :)

While trying to buy websites recently, I came to a conclusion that for Mediavine it really matters that their sites have a bulk of traffic from US. By bulk I mean 70%+. They do not seem to care about content quality or authenticity, EAT and stuff. So I'd say your chances with them are very little.

With Adthrive, you may get in with 40% US traffic I believe.... Did they give you any reason why they rejected you? Maybe you can try asking for more details, so you know what you need to do to eventually get in.

If it doesn't work, you can try at least Ezoic meanwhile, as Blogmen suggested.

I'm a bit paranoid about all the dns level changes that Ezoic requires. And moreover, the site speed also goes down. I guess I'll stick with adsense until getting into a big network.

Monthly traffic is somewhere around 250k-300k.

I asked mediavine and they told me that it was premium traffic that they need. Moreover, my website when I applied was literally a bare-bones structure. I'm thinking of designing a nice homepage.

With Adthrive, they didn't explicitly mention anything as to why the site was rejected. I believe it was mainly because of how my site didn't look premium.

My plan as of now, is to keep publishing the content and redesign the homepage (making it colorful lol). I will reapply to both these networks after a few days. I can also see from analytics that % of US traffic is increasing slowly. Lets hope for the best.

Are you currently with Adthrive or Mediavine? And what was your % US traffic when you were accepted?

Yeah, as I said they are looking for very high percentage of US traffic. If you had 70%+
US traffic, I'm almost sure you'll get in with 250K visitors, even if you had the ugliest website on the internet :)

I'm not sure about this... I've seen sites on Adthrive that had a very simple, or even a very old-school design. As long as it is mobile responsive and everything, any design can be good, because an old design also sends out a message--this website has been around for many years, it is a brand, and we do not want to change things just because this or that design is fancy at the moment...

Adthrive, 45% of US traffic when I got accepted. The percentage has not changed much since then...

I guess I will wait another month before reapplying again. Currently adsense is giving me page RPM around $8 - $12 range. I hope this work to get into Adthrive or MV will be well worth it. What kind of RPMs are you seeing with adthrive?

I'm really sorry that I'm hijacking your thread @blogmen
This is the last query lol

Since the start of the year I have $16 RPM.
That's surprisingly good, considering RPMs tend to be lowest for the entire year at the beginning of January.

But so many things come into play when it comes to RPM. I talked about it countless times. Your website may have much better and also much worse RPM than mine.

No doubt though that you will get a better RPM with a premium ad network. If it wasn't the case, people would not join these networks :).
You should expect at least two times as much as you are earning with Adsense, but in some cases you can get 3-4 times more.

Anyway, good luck to you and let's hope you'll get accepted soon!
