I have an Update Coming up but can someone please tell me if it is possible to change thread title? Quick UPDATE!
I hope you guys don?t think I had given up on this journey?because I have not and am not about to anytime soon! I know it?s been a while since I dropped an update. Nothing much has happen except the followings;
SITE B1
After analyzing the site in terms of future performance and expansion, I decided to restructure the site home page article to a competitive and large search volume keyword. As a result of the alteration, my rankings has fluctuate a bit. In my last update, the main keyword was at #19, after the restructuring, its sitting at #23. I expect it to bounce back in few days.

SITE B2
As you can recall in my update post #111, SITE B2 was the site I built alongside with SITE B1 but later left it to stabilize. Well, recent I have started adding links to it and ranking is picking up very well. I am currently targeting 4 closely related keywords at the moment although I have plans to expand the site to accommodate other keywords as I go along.

Although I had tracked the rankings before adding links to the site, I however left the ?previous ranking? column blank since I had not updated it on this thread before. As you may have noticed, Keyword A and B have low search volume. I am not bothered by that because I intend to monetize the site both with AdSense and Amazon. The site has a total of 2 links pointing to it and it?s already do well in ranking. The site is also yet to be monetized as such it?s not earning any revenue yet.
SITE A
This was the site that I started the thread with which got abandoned and later I picked up where I left and continued. I am happy to inform you guys that I have secured top 7 and top 9 positions for 2 of the primary keywords which the site built and optimized for. Traffic is already doubling and am watching closely to see the resulting effect on revenues.

Hi snetface, thanks for adding my thread to your collection of bookmarks. Now to your question?
What I Use - I use Longtail Pro for all my keyword research
Density ? for my keyword density, I usually find great result within the 0.2% - 0.4% range although these days, I tend to stick with 0.2% keyword density in my article (which usually is about 800 words).
Images ? I usually add at least one image to the content of my site with the target keyword in the ?alternate? text field.
Heading ? I don?t force it, but where necessary I add H2 and H3 bearing in mind that your title should ALWAYS be in H1 tag.
Link titles ? Am not sure I understand what you meant by link titles.
Main Keyword ? generally one word keyword tend to be too competitive to rank for so I usually go with 3-word keywords although with time I usually rank for the ?two word? keyword as well. But I do advise you stick with keywords that are made up of at least 3 words.
Domains ? my domains don?t contain my target keyword in them. I usually look for brandable domains because I find they are easy to expand into authority site in the future if the site performs well and has room to accommodate more keywords.
MY IDEAL KEYWORDS?
When it comes to keyword research, there are some factors that must be present before I decide to go after a particular keyword. I know others have their own list but the following are some of the things I look for when doing keyword research with Longtail Pro;
Keyword Competitiveness ? must be less than 30. The lower it is the better and easier ranking it will be.
Site Age ? This does not matter much but in some cases when looking for really easy to rank keywords, I usually look to see if there are sites dominating top 10 positions that are 1 ? 11 months old. This is usually a good indicator for how fast you can get your site up there in the top spots. It even gets better when you see 2-3 months old site showing up on the top 10 positions.
Domain Authorities ? the site showing up in the top 10 position must have a minimum of 3 domains with DA that is either less than or equal to 30. When you see sites with 16 -20 DA showing up on top 10 positions, it?s a really good sign.
Backlinks ? sites showing up on the top 10 positions must have less than or equals to 100 links. As always, less is better!
Niche Site ? I always look to see if there are other niche sites already dominating the top 10 positions. If they are, then its good sign that I can also get my niche site up there as well.
PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER?
To illustrate how the above factors comes together to form profitable and easy to rank keywords, below is a keyword I have discovered and convinced that it will be easy and profitable to rank for based upon the factors just discussed above.
KEYWORD RESEARCH SUMMARY

Summary; the above keyword will be dead easy to rank for if I eventually decide to build a site that is well optimized for it.
So in a nutshell that?s how I go about doing keyword research that I later build site about.

Hi traged, thanks for stopping by.
My UV is just staring to shoot up from about 50 UVs to 80 UVs. In the coming week, the traffic should double. As for sales its not much as not all the sites and pages are fully monetized. Right now I am not too concerned with the sales as I know it will come once the site are fully ranked.
Right now, I am a little over $60 in revenue.

QUICK UPDATE on SITE B2
So I have decided to go ahead and monetize the top performing pages for site B2 because of some recent happenings despite my earlier decision not to monetize it until it reaches the top 10 spot.
So today checking my amazon stat against yesterday, I discovered to my surprise that SITE B2 had scored 2 sales yesterday from obviously some few inner pages that I had even forgotten had been monetized. None of these pages are even in the top 20 spots but have managed to score some sales (long tail keyword traffic I guess). So I decided to go ahead and monetize the top performing pages as well. And did I mention that one of the top performing pages for SITE B2 just broke into the top 18? I guess not. But expect that and much more in my next full update.

As already hinted above, this will be the final update for this journey! I initially set out to rank a site within a period of 90 days period but obviously I have strayed from the initial objectives and goals of this thread. In the process of documenting this journey, I have come to learn so much than what I initially bargained for! My decision to close this thread does not mean that my IM journey has ended. what I am actually doing is that I will be continuing this journey in a new thread with a clear and well defined goals and objectives coupled with well laid down action plan and strategies on how to achieved the outlined goals.
Now to the updates?
SITE B1
The change in site structure has really affected the site?s ranking and coupled with the fact that I have totally ignored the site for a while, ranking has also declined. However I am not worried about the declined in ranking because I am confident that once I resume work on the site ranking will bounce back.
SITE B2
This site I am impressed with and it?s been taking a bit of my time. I am targeting 4 major keywords but am working with two keywords at a time. For now I am concerned with ranking keyword A and B and so far the ranking is coming up nicely.
SITE A
Rankings for SITE B has been very stable for the past weeks. The keyword on #7 has been dancing around #6 and #7. Today I added another PR link to it and I am positive that by week ending I should be able claim the top 4 spots on first page.
SITE B IS BACK!!!!!!!!
Yea! You read it right. My old SITE B that got tanked a day after penguin update was release has bounced back to life!!! Checking the site?s ranking a few days back revealed the following ranking stats;
Actually I have done nothing to the site except removing a few of the links I built to it. But I suspect that the pulling down of some of the spammy PR blog links that I bought for the site by the blog owners have resulted in the revival of the site. I will do more in-depth post and analysis concerning this in my new thread.
SITE C and D (New Sites)
Over the past weeks, I have been working on adding 2 new sites to my niche site portfolio and I have succeeded in adding 2 new niche site to my portfolio. I will talk more about these 2 new niche sites in my new thread but what I want to do now is to quickly show the ranking stats for one of the site(the 2nd one i only finished yesterday so its not ranking yet).
