My articles were long ready but my domain don?t did not successfully propagate with my chosen hosting account despite waiting for days (usually takes few minutes though). The funny thing is on a closer scrutiny, it turned out that I had pointed the domain to a wrong nameserver. Now the domain is all setup with the right namesever. Will be back with update soon.

[FONT=&]I learnt a great deal about the power of interlinking your related contents together when one of my post I wrote a while back and published for a keyword with a search volume of 1,600 suddenly popped up #10 on SERP without doing any single external backlinks to that post page. On further investigation, I discovered that the post in question was boasting of 37 backlinks which I honestly had no idea where it came from since I never did backlink on the page. Looking closely at the backlink source revealed that it was coming right from main site the post was published on? INTERNAL LINKS from other post pages. Needless to say that when I added just 2 backlinks from High authority sites, the page moved up in rank from #10 to #4 and has since remain there.

[FONT=&]On an impulse considering how fast Google indexed my site I ran a search for my targeted keywords using SEOBOOK keyword tracker and BOOOM!!!! All my keywords are all ranked!
This is turning out to be more interesting and exciting than I expected.[/FONT]
[FONT=&]N/B: there is nothing wrong with your site being ranked in a day or two. My sites at times get ranked in 2 to 3 days at times.[/FONT]
[FONT=&]Is the foundation of your niche site well laid?
[/FONT]
[FONT=&]Usually after building out a fresh niche site like I just did, I usually like to run what I call ?Acid test? to test if indeed my site is well setup to rank for its targeted keywords. How? I perform a title search on Google for my home page and other page titles that I am interested in after 24 hours of setting up the site. If it pops up in top 20, that is a green signal to proceed to phase 2. In phase 2, I do my primary keyword search on Google after 48 - 73 hrs without any backlink or social signal done on the site. If it pops out on top 150, then I know beyond doubt that the site is ok.[/FONT]
[FONT=&]N/B: this is just my way of testing out things. It does not mean that your site is not ok if does not pop out on Google after doing both search.[/FONT] [FONT=&]

Great post dude, I have yet to rank a niche site, but I just started a new one today. I hope to follow in your footsteps! Hopefully we aren't ranking the same keyword

So after waiting for sometimes for the site to stabilize, I went ahead and built 2 high PR links to the niche site and after 5 days, the site rankings for the primary keyword and other secondary keywords I have chosen to also rank the site for are as seen below.
Keyword A is my main keyword which the site was built on and it is the one that I am currently building links to rank on top 5 spots. Keyword A and C are my secondary Keywords which I may rank the site in time.
In order not to mess things up and possibly get penalized also, I was like to pick my SEO battles one at a time. That is why I am only concerned with ranking the main keywords first.
The actions behind site current ranking
My actions were pretty simple. I pointed 2 backlinks from a PR domain to mu home page. One of the links was an exact match with my keyword while the other was just some generic anchor. Actually, it was I used an anchor text which has now turned into my secondary keyword B currently ranked #25
Plans to move the site forward
I plan to wait for a few more days for the site to fully absorb the effect of the first 2 PR links pointed the site then I will build 2-3 more links without using my primary keywords.

Nice going. What about your secondary keywords? Any improvement on them?

My article words average between +500 to +800 words.
I know some people preach the +1000 words article rules but I personally find articles that are +400 words to work well for me. That way, I can easily control my keyword density without overshooting it.
More precisely to your question;
Homepage article = 857 words
Secondary keyword A article = 505 words
Secondary keyword B and C are are home page rank.

wow! thanks for the kind words. The days i set for the completion of my journey is just there as a motivator but i still intend to go on with the journey even if i don't reach my goal when the 90days elapes. But from the look of things I'm positive I will reach it in record time.

Today I just want to make a brief update on my journey to building a profitable niche from scratch within 90 days.
Well the site has made its very first sale and has also started earning affiliate commission from Amazon.
Yesterday, the site sold a niche item of $449 and earned a commission of $17.96
The site is currently still climbing the SERP and will improve in sales once it hit the top spots. When that happens, I will flip it
and move on to my next project.
