I'm new to IM and I found out how to do Keyword Research recently, so I've been going nuts with it :)...

Today I found my first good (I think) keyword. It has 9,600 [EXACT] searches and Rank 1 on the SERPs has a total backlinks of almost 80.

I'm waiting to get paid today so I can buy a gift card and register a domain and (finally) buy ScrapeBox.

My question, is how much do you think it's possible to make on this keyword? Is it Auto-Blog $5 a day status or is it possible to make $100 a day with it.

In my opinion, you can make $37.85/day. Pal, nobody knows it.:)

Damn... Thanks, lol. I didn't think I'd get a specific response for an amount like that.

It depends what kind of niche it is, varies all the time. I had one with 720 exact and i also ranked for a few other long tail keywords and i was making $120 + month from that once site alone. But then i had a site with 4000+ exact and was struggling to make $30 a month. It all depends on the niche

    He was being sarcastic.

There's no possible way anyone could tell you how much you can make per day ranking #1 for a certain keyword.

Obviously if your keyword is "buy a Lamborghini" and you're selling Lamborghinis on your site, you will make way more than if you were ranking for "buy a hair comb" and you were selling $2 combs.

There are tons of other factors too like conversion rates, how much traffic you actually receive from the keyword, and everything else.

That's a descent keyword, a good tip is to use traffic travis (the free version works to analyise the top 20) for keyword research, and cross reference your keywords with google insights, sometimes I have found that adwords keyword tool can over or underestimate certain nice keywords quite a lot, when I was starting out I found a keyword, bought a domain, got it to the first page for a 50,000+ exact keyword, and I was getting about two visits per day from google.

This was when I learned to cross-reference on google insights, if there's a line in the graph, it has a fairly descent amount of searches. You can also get good ideas and related keywords on Insights popping up at the bottom too. Put the keyword in "keyword" to view more accurate results.

Good luck, keyword research is one of my favourite things in SEO, I can get my music on, find some good keywords, check out the competition, it's borderline enjoyable!

    Oh... well of course.

I kind of worded it wrong, I guess. I acctually just use Adsense ATM, and that's what I was referring to when asking that question. How many clicks/$ will I make from Adsense with that keyword?

Thanks, bro. Seems like you can never be too sure with keyword research, and I'll keep this in mind. :)

You didn't give the keyword so I have no idea. You can check it in the Google Keyword Tool though. Just go to the drop down menu and select "Show CPC". The amount won't be how much you make per click, but it will give you a basic idea.
