hey guys, this is my first auto blog that i made. I need help. its not the way I imagined it would look. I know its definatly not as good as some of the other ones that ive seen on here. Im just asking for some pointers and things I can change. Would appreciate extreme criticism :) basically im gonna use this site as a jumping off point for the next blog i do.

    http://www.faststreetracing.com

sounds corny i know but as i said, its my first site :)

    thanks

first auto-blog and first post- looking for some traffic. An auto blog is like any other blog - in terms of how it looks and functions. If you have a theme you like and plug-ins you like then it will look like "all those other blogs"

I have a few suggestions. Your description reads "Everything there is about new fast cars". Everything there? you mean here, as in, on your blog, right? If so, you might want to change the there to here. You might also want to spice up the description just a little, make it catchy, but not gimmicky.

Also, less is more and your blog seems to be leaning on the side of less in terms of fancy. The less is a good thing. The less bling bling the better. Actually, I liked your site because it gives information and leaves me a little hungry; hungry enough to click the ads.

You might want to fix the sidebar. If those links aren't going anywhere other than to wordpress, get rid of them.

One last thing, what's going on with the dry links within the posts? are those supposed to be hyperlinked? It's a little confusing and I think will read as hackneyed if it's not fixed.

But like I said, the less bling thing does make me want to click.

    Hope this helps
