Hello, I just decided to open up my first micro niche sites after reading people's journeys. I happened to get a MASSIVE list of keywords from blackhatworld infact, and then plugged them into Market Samurai. I choose a niche out of these keywords, then honed in. I ended up choosing 5 that had a SEOV (CPC * Daily Views) of over $3000!! Mind you, this is on the number on position!

So, I ended up buying a mix of .com and .info sites, depending on availability. (.info sites convert perfectly, even more so as microniche sites then regular blogs. This is because most micro niches are informing someone of something, and by having the .info behind it, you've just made yourself two direct EMD's that you can market.) These sites had little to no competition, with no direct backlinks to most of these sites, no EMDs, max page rank of 4 in the top 10. The only problem I saw was the age of my competition. Almost all of the sites except 1 or 2 had 9+ years. I know that makes a big difference. If you haven't used Market Samurai due to price, I'm pretty sure there is a guide on this site that explains how to have an indefinite full feature trial because I used it (; Basically they have it very simple in the seo competition model. They show you the stats, then highlight them in green, yellow and red. Obviously green is good. The only reds I allowed was age, and general backlinks. I say this because using Xrumer and several other programs you can get 100000+ links in a week, but they don't do much for the site in general. I bought 5 guest posts on fiverr (for $25 obviously) and my rankings in over 20 keywords halved for my autoblog, several went from the 80's or 90's to the top 20 in 24 hours. It's link quality people, not link quantity.

I'm going to be using AdSense and Infolinks, as Amazon is banned in my state.. ALSO. I highly suggest anyone using adsense getting ANY views to use the adsense click fraud monitoring plugin!

So, I'll post next when I have my first micro site built.

    Thanks!

I don't want to burst your bubble but for start, MS calculations are based on BING, not AdWords.

Secondly... you just built your sites and already added guest post links to it ? So what you're such a renown blogger and you offer such insight within the niches of those MNS properties that, even if the MNS content availability is fairly thin, you have enough knowledge about them to share on other blogs, rather than your own ?

As you said, it's about link quality... but you have to be able to comprehend Googles reaction to your actions as well... a MNS that gets syndicated content within the first 24 hours and it's not a paid advertisement ? I'd like to see that :)

As mentioned by lmxftw, don't hurry up with your linkbuilding strategy. allow some time to pass between every link posting. Think of it: your websites are new and Google knows very well that new domains are not being brought to the public attention so fast.
And don't forget the timing of your linkbuilding strategy adds quality to your links.

So I built my first site, put one 200 word article, and one 150 word post with a Youtube video. I also invested in Squirrly SEO and got a cool 50% off for life coupon! I didn't backlink, just used a method proposed by another member here on BlackHatWorld that gets your site indexed instantly! Within 5 hours, I was at #28 for the keyword I was trying to rank for! Now I'm adding more and better content and paid $5 to be posted on 9 permanent PR 4+ blog rolls, and I'm going to ping them once the links are given to me. Hopefully in the next 24-48 hours I'll be on the first page!!

    Hi,

If you want long term income from these blogs I would suggest you write some content first, add some social signal then start building links. I will be following your journey as I have started some Micro Niche Blogs but I am still building content after 2 weeks :) So best of luck and I hope you have long term success.

    lmxftw:

Well, you see if you actually read the post I used guest posts on a PREVIOUS site. Also, I never said I was a master of Niche's and MS, I would however say I've done my fair share of SEM and off page SEO. I've noticed doing this that guest posts on older domains (I don't just rely on PR as google says it isn't as relevant as it used to be) convert better SERP wise then anything else. Also, I checked the keywords within Google Keyword Planner and it was exact down to the cent. The traffic was also spot on. It seems the top bidder for on of my keywords is paying about $960 and if I set my "bid" lower then that, I basically fail position wise, and the CPC stays the exact same from 40-960ish. Which means they'd lose a ton of money if over 40 and under 960 but if under 960 they won't rank. Also, if they pay under $35 they lose 90% of their bid to CPC. Final statistic: the advertiser paying 960 gets 2.29 out of a max of 3 views a day.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
Second: I'm number 5 on Yahoo! woo... no one cares...

Even better news is, although it seems bad is that google has only indexed my home page and the page with a video on it. I've sent in 4 site maps (image, video, xml, mobile) and so far it still says pending next to all of the site maps except video! This means I'm ranking on page 3-4 on just TWO pages indexed, that are also outdated! So I expect to see a radical jump in the next 24-72 hours!

Wish me and my site maps luck!

Buying .info domains was not a good idea. .info is not a top-level domain, and it's actually not as easy to rank a .info on Google than it would be to rank a .com, .org or .net. Best of luck, though!

Actually the site I'm working on right now is a .com, but I haven't had any problems with .info in the past. You have to remember that I'm targeting a microniche keyword with <150 views per month total searches. The keywords I'm targeting literally have no direct competition and the other sites are only ranking because of broad match and a few backlinks. Also, .info is great for microniche sites as it adds a valuable word onto your already long tail keyword. For ex. One of my sites is ranking about 30-40 for my main keyword (mind you it's WAY more competitive then any of my micro niches.) but for the EMD keyword + the word info it's ranking as #5, which I get more traffic from that keyword then anything else. Although it's harder to rank for non long tail, it provides you with two EMD's for one site, which is great for micro niche sites.
