I'm not sure if this is the right place to share this, but here is my story and here's where I need help.

Hello all, my first time really posting here, but I've been working on a pet blog that sell CBD oil for dogs. I've been helping my friend by utilize keyword research, and curating blogs. The website has been around for about 2 years now and has quite a few blogs. The website has gone up and down in visitors over the last 2 years. At one point, it was getting 700 visitors then back down to 200, then back up to 700. It's constantly fluctuating. Personally, I don't reach out for help much, but my partner has convinced me to reach out to the community that I've been relying on. I'm really looking for some kind of direction, insight, intel, or information to just help me move in the right direction.

The reason I came here is because we're currently running out of ideas of what to do to increase rankings and visitors on the website. We're coming to a place where we're either going to sell the website and brand, or just shut-down completely. I've read quite a bit of posts on BHW and a lot of the information is helpful, but I'm trying to understand what last dying attempts I can make to try to save this project.

Below, is some of the things we've done, or are working on:

  • We had spent $$ on backlink service, but currently we're not spending $$ on backlinks.
  • We've got a massive emailing list (20k+), but we're trying to warm-up and approach these emails in such way that we don't get flagged or blacklisted. These emails are targeted and specific to our industry, but we don't know the right way to approach this list.
  • We've also purchased 6 domains over time and they're currently just setup for 301 redirects to the main website. These websites are Google Domains and 1 of them is a blogspot with a few articles, but nothing more.
  • We've tried looking for influencers, but have no luck. We've tried finding affiliates, but they bring in no sales. This was one of our main focuses, but we failed really hard. Don't know where to pick-up or approach this.

Our focus has mainly been creating original content, keyword research, continuous blogging, and social media posting. This is on-going and this is something we're still focused on, but have paused everything else until we TRULY know the right direction and steps to take.

Given all the information above I feel like we're in a place where with a push in the right direction we might just make it. It seems like our infrastructure is setup for success, but the building blocks are collapsing or not working.

Ultimately, I have been using BHW to gain more knowledge and learn from others, but I've been falling short in all my attempts and I'm on the verge of giving up.

Here is some info from AHREFs.

-EDIT: realized it's not here

@seancoder - I think part of the reason we went to spending was to find affiliates, or influencers. However, organically we haven't been able to come across any affiliates. It seems like many websites that we've reached out to won't even respond to us. We try to offer a competitive affiliate program, but that doesn't seem to the trick. The only work I can do without spending $$ is continuing to posts blogs, and share them on social media. I'm hesitant on the email list, but from the sample size we have used we get open, but no click throughs.

Okay just hold on. Someone who is good at SEO will pop up to this post and point you in the right direction.

Just hoping I can get some sort of insight! Anything is appreciated. I've also forgot to mention that I focus on long tail keywords, or keywords with low da and decent volume.

@johnyow - Should I increase the number of blogs I have lol?? I have shares in stocks and I'm holding on and buying more. Just trying to figure this out.

@Emit - Thank you bro! I'm trying, I just really think I need some help to have success. I just don't know what help or direction I need.

What made you pick that niche?

Was there a successful competitor that inspired you? What do they do that you don't?

Do you have a passion for and expertise in this niche? Are you sure there is even a market and demand for your product?

Who is your target audience/customer? What problem does your product solve?

You need to build number of niche targetted backlinks. Don't purchase guest posts or all-in-one packs as they are pbn 100% of the time.

Jump on social media (particularly Instagram and Tiktok) and become your own influence. Create marketing that doesn't feel like marketing and sales will come. Another option would be to focus on your emailing list and do some A/B testing after warming up your SMTP server's IP.

Your failing page speed insights and the majority of your links are trash

Your links need to be niche relevant. Also you shouldn't triple your link profile in the space of a month, try staying around 10-20% if you're being aggressive. If your purchasing quality you can push however many you see fit but loading up your site with piles and piles of dogshit is not a great idea.

That makes sense, you're right I did the latter of the 2. Any suggestions on where to get started on looking for niche targeted back links? May be a bad question, but it seems like you know what you're saying.

I've been focusing on tiktok and instagram, but we'll see. I keep trying to get at least 1 - 2 posts a week. I never noticed it helping to being with, but I know social media presence is key. On a tight budget, I'm creating the posts and doing it myself.

I did recently find a provider that has a monthly plan for getting more relevant and higher DA backlinks. The price is around $85 a month for 10 links, I'm learning more about the quality, but I found this by recommendation from BHW group https://t-ranks.com/pricing/. I've tried multiple providers and many deemed unsuccessful as you can tell. I'm finding it hard to find a reliable source for a proper link building plan.

I had an opportunity to create a product for this niche. The main purpose started off as a company and SEO was my way of growing organically.

How are you doing keywords research? How many articles do you currently have on the website? How do you structure your articles?

Bro... @sanweez
You need a deep audit before giving any advice. But il try.

The niche is competitive i feel.

Your monthly visiters are low, for the time you been online. And fornthe DR you have maanaged to gain. Kinda indicates bad keyword research that hasnt improved over two years.

If you bought links from BHW i hope you bought from the decent sellers. The bad sellers will 100% cause your site to stagnate and get lower in the serps. Good links dont do that.

So because you have did alot over the years its hard to advise. Part of me feels you need to double down on more LOW COMPETITION topics. You could even just copy paste competitors and use quillbot to paraphrase and upload to wordpress.

Or spend a month churning out as many PAA pages as you can till your fingers bleed.

The thing is, youve got a reputation on google, just focus on informational content.

Throw some questions at me if you want. Happy to help, only sell it if you want it absolutley gone. Then purchase a nice expired domain and try again
