My experience top ten in google for most competetive keyword

hello, Last year in jan 2008 i registered a domain with co.uk hosted especially in uk. Now i my site is in top ten in a competition of 34,300,000 search in google.

My site is having only 50 backlink.
My site is only having 3 pages
My site is having PR4
All the three pages are getting 1000 visits per day. It,s not page impression but it,s a page visit. I have used long tail keyword atleast 3 keyword per page.

One of the link building truth i share dont go for bulk, go for quality. .

Out of 50 backlink i was getting juice for only 15 backlink rest all whr nofollow but this backlink was from pr6 pr4 pr3 sites. I m using anchor text i m not placing a link i m bother about anchor text + link.

That sounds good but I think ranking is name of having links only. There are many more factors involved. I have many such projects to promote and believe me that I am not worried about links.
 
Wow that's really awesome, did you continue to water your site with back links to maintain the position or you just leave it alone?

Mind to share which market your competing in?
 
thats really impressive. is you domain keyword rich?
i'd be interested in which niche your site is in.

in my main niche my non keyword rich domain ranks between 5-9 for a search with
62,700,000 competition in google.

My site is having over 6000 backlink.
My site is having 59 pages indexed
My site is having PR4 with DMoz listing

i still only get about 7 unique visits per day!
 
@sodacrates: Do your site rank for any keyword?

May be you have too many general backlinks, and no good rank for any keyword, or for keyword with low search volume
 
impressive.. where are the backlinks coming from ?

forums? blogs? social sites? statis sites? paid links?

yes most of the backlinks (counted by yahoo) are general blogroll links.
as mentioned the site ranks between 5-9 on a google search that has nearly 72m results

95% of ranking is down to backlinks dude.
 
Results 1 - 10 of about 994,370,500

That bit on Google has fish all to do with competition, that is just how many pages have the phrase on the page.

Competition has to do with how many other sites are trying to rank no.1, using SEO.

Also ranking is pie in the sky if no one is searching for the phrase. Traffic is what counts in the end.
 
Very nice! How profitable are those 1k daily visits?

no, i have stops building backlink. it,s have little effect but still top ten.

no not at all. but i share you it,s having extension co.uk and specially i have purchased uk server hosting:). got me.
