    Hey.

I have used Benchmark and Mailchimp to send out emails to prospects. But I realize that my emails are not being opened.

As an example I sent 1660 emails to people and I only 7 emails were opened. out of 20,000 emails 50 were opened. I know these are active emails.

    What is up?

    • Clean IPs.
    • SPF.
    • DKIM.
    • RDNS
    • Whitelisting.
    • Blacklist check.
    • Bounce handling.
    • Spam score check of email content.
    • Test run against all major providers.
    • List cleaner.
Or just pay a ton of money for some premium bulk service. Probably higher chimp plan.

Should benchmark be responsible for that? It’s theur email marketing service? Why should I pay them if my emails aren’t delivered? I checked my spam score it was 0.6

I also got my email sent to inbox. (I added myself to the list as a test)

Is your list opt in? Are you sending the same kind of subjects that the users subscribed on? It's like you are holding the telephone company responsible because someone you cold called abused you.. lol.

If that is really the case, then one of two things are wrong. Either the company you used is bullshit, or their spam score feature is broken. ;)

    Try another platform.

Email Marketing has become very difficult these past few months. It seems most of the top email providers have strengthen there spam filters, with even regular emails going to spam folder. Gmail is the biggest culprit, i checked my spam folder on Gmail yesterday and saw even emails from Google Analytics (there own platform) was in there. Your best bet is to send a small batch amount of emails each time and use a reputable paid email management company.

Haha, I never knew it got this bad. My most prolific ‘spam’ sender is YouTube, now that I checked.

I noticed most of my emails that are rejected were flagged by Cloudmark Sender Intelligence system even though my IP is clean and not blacklisted. Does anyone know about this company?

If you're having a spam folder problem. You need to test (see below) and isolate what the problem is and fix.

    1. Back-end set up: spf, dkim, rdns, etc...
    2. IP / domain reputation: any IP / domain associated with the mailing - also test username
    3. Content: everything in the message body / subject line, including template
