You know, I really, really love good dreams and I feel like a super-sick one makes up for 100 nightmares. I've had a couple of these in my life (about 6) that stand out as way above and beyond average in the entertainment department. I'd just like to give my subconscious a standing ovation for it. I strongly, strongly recommend that folks out there keep a dream diary and start remembering your dreams. It's totally worth it!

"Woke up" in a scene where me and 3 other guys had stolen a kind of futuristic alien thing called the luminex from the cops and were running away from them. It looked like a small white round walkie talkie you could clip on your belt basically had the ability to genetically/biologically change you instantly into whatever you wanted to be (so long as you were near it otherwise you'd revert back to normal). They were looking for me in a room and I turned invisible LOL, only one of them thought something weird was in the room. Then me and the other 3 guys with luminexes super sped the fuck out of the building when we got the chance, so they sent a very skilled, huge assasin after they realized we were gone.

At one point I was on top of a huge, huge skyscraper in a city and I was hunting down the assassin. I told luminex to make me 100% invulnerable to everything, took a few seconds to catch my breath then I jumped. - Yeeehaw, that was fun. I didn't want to fall all the way to the ground so I grew werewolf claws and started running along the building lol. Found the assassin and it was pretty much like a boss level fight. He shot at me, came at me with a machete, etc... but I was 100% invulnerable, didn't feel anything. Since he knew he was losing, he found a way to disconnect me from my luminex's power source. Then I was in hot shit :D after losing all my powers lol. The dream ended there.

You guys should seriously look up lucid dreaming or at least keep a dream journal. It's 100% worth it.

Lucid dreaming must be fantastic, been keeping a dream journal for a while now and even that's pretty fun when you can actually start recalling your dreams later on, way after you've woken up from it.

The most amazing dreams I've had in terms of detail were my lucid dreams; the environments were hyper-realistic and extremely detail oriented. People are rarely featured in my lucid dreams in large numbers, so the dream environments are often desolate (even if I'm in a town, which is normally populated by people in waking life). However, my most eccentric dreams (which are usually the most entertaining) are my regular dreams. They're like this video except the people do not ever have faces. No matter what type of dream I have, I've never dreamt a human face.

I dreamt of The Zombie Apocalypse, last night.
It was a cool dream but people were killing each other for insane reasons.
    Then I read today's paper.

If you start smoking pot it will completely wipe out your dreams. I smoked that crap for 6-7 years straight and didn't have 1 dream the whole time.

Then when I quit a couple weeks ago, I've been having some of the most vivid, surreal, but depressing "dreams" ever.

It's like my deep subconscious is "unlocking" and memories from my childhood (that I didn't even know exist) are finally coming back. The thing is, I don't like them. A couple nights ago I dreamed I was on a date with my ex girlfriend from highschool/college. I actually dreamed a date we had that I completely forgot about. We took a boat out 1 night, stopped in the middle by a bridge, where everything was lit up and started kissing.

The bad part? In real life we both went home happy. In my dream for some very strange reason I hit her over the head with a paddle then held her face under the water till she drowned.. And all I remember is my boat drifting away from her body, me staring at her body, then BAMMMM!!!! I woke up completely freaked out wondering why I'd ever have a dream like that.

In a way, I want to smoke pot again just to STOP these vivid, disturbing dreams. They're nothing like "normal" dreams I use to have when I was younger. They are vivid as hell, feel real as all fuck, and for some reason something bad always happens. So technically, I'm having nightmares every night since I stopped smoking weed.

Don't sweat it man, I think that's likely just the "detox" period and it'll persist for a while. Same shit happens to me when I quit drinking - I'd get shit coming straight out of a horror movie. UGH, terrible crap. You can try finding meaning in them, because in a way they very likely do and it's likely your subc is trying to put pieces together that it hasn't had the opportunity to in a long time. Sorry to hear man, stay strong.

I can't smoke weed anymore because I used to really like the closed eye visuals but then the last time I did a few years ago, I felt..very strange - in a bad way. Haven't bothered with it since (plus I wouldn't even know where to get it if I wanted it - although I suppose I could get a connect on CL).

Do you get cravings anymore to drink ?

I'm really curious how that's working out for you. We might bust each other's chops alot but I'm glad to see you stopped.

Hell. Yea man. Just had a wave of cravings a few hours ago and that was very hard. It's slow man, but I've been fighting it for too long and have TOO MUCH to lose by drinking. I just remember that it's everything that I hate about myself - weakness primarily. Thanks man, glad to hear that you're staying strong :).
